i was doing some sprited backroad driving today and on one of my last runs i think i damaged something.

1. when i go foward it sounds like im going in reverse. (that high whining sound)

2. at idle, when clutch is engaged but NOT in gear i can hear some activity in the transmission, again some whining noise.

does this mean i have low fluid, or did i mess something up?

+2

when you push the clutch at idle, does the noise go away?

odds are its the TOB, but its also an unlikely candidate for input shaft bearing.

yes sounds goes away when i push in (disengage) clutch.

like i said ODDS ARE its your TOB, but the ISB is still a possibility. just unlikely.

could also be the ever popular nissan transmission death whine

often mistaken as a throw out bearing yet not cured by replacing the tob....
