PLEASE READ THE WHOLE POST BEFORE CONTACTING! EMAIL BEFORE POSTING IN THIS THREAD AS EMAIL IS CHECKED OFTEN!As some of you may know I have been doing wire harness conversions for people off and on, and based upon my experience thus far everyone I have done the job has been completed to very satisfied standards.
The moderators of NICO have been kind enough to allow me to advertise these services directly to you, and rest assured that when you send a harness to me the one you get back will be on part with factory fit and finish.
All harnesses are setup to function exactly like the OEM engine harness; this means that all your instrumentation will work (speedometer, tachometer, temp gauge, ect…), CONSULT is wired in for diagnostic purposes (only if chassis supports it), A/C is wired (should you choose to run it), and is designed to generally make your life a whole lot easier so you just have to get the motor into the car.
Here is a rough price list break down:
ANY rb26dett into ANY s chassis – 325$
NEO rb25det into s14 - 300$
NEO rb25det into s13 - 325$
R33 rb25det into s14 - 275$
R33 rb25det into s13 - 300$
R32 rb20det into s14 - 250$
R32 rb20det into s13 - 225$
G50 VH45DE into an s14 or s13 - 250$
CA, SR, SOHC --> DOHC swaps are 200$ flat.
Harness repair is offered but is dependent on extent of damage and or nature of repair.
Also should you want different things wired into the harness such as a safc or perhaps fuel cut defender that can be done too for an additional cost.
SAFC/fuel controller wiring will be 25$
Resistor pack for large injectors (mainly a rb20 mod, includes resistor pack) 35$
Anything else can be discussed prior to harness modification.
I take pride in my work, therefore I take as many steps as necessary to make sure the harness will be reliable from the day you sent it to me to the day the car stops running.
Each harness is cleaned up and stripped of unnecessary plugs for a much cleaner look to it, and all connections are carefully soldered and shrink wrapped for longevity and reliability.
NO butt connectors are used on ANY harness I convert, they are a failure waiting to happen…if any shop says they are ok for use in harness conversions, the shop is very poor in taste and ethics.
Please keep in mind that a damaged or cut harness will incur a repair fee as it is time consuming and generally hard to repair a previously cut or mildly worked on harness.
Also take note that shipping back to you is not included in the conversion price but is dependent on how much it cost for you to ship it to me, include insurance if you like.
Shipping can be calculated at time of conversion or if prior arrangements are made then those details can be finalized later on.
Turn around time on harnesses CAN vary greatly, most of the time I am able to have them out the same week but there will be times when I cannot accept harness work because of school, again please inquire first before making any assumptions on lead time; I will tell you what I can do.
Also concerning harnesses if the harness you have has been spliced or has had a 'fuel management system' installed other than an safc it can possibly be considered 'cut'.
If the harness has been in more than one car PLEASE let me know before hand, it helps keep the conversion process streamlined and effcient.
Lastly please pack harnesses well and do not skimp on packing properly, I've recieved items in homemade boxes and wrapped in paper towels...not good for shipping as it increases the chances of being DOA and I cannot be responsible for poorly wrapped items.
If you have any questions or would like to have a harness converted please feel free to contact me either on aim (name is listed on NICO’s directory) or email me at blackboxtuning@gmail.com.
Cheers as always,
Carl H
