Ok, here's the skinny on the weekends event.

When: Sunday, April 8th - 9:30am, drivers meeting at 9:45, first car/cars off at 10:00am Where: Meet at Red Robin, Independence One block east of 40 Hwy and I-470 - Finish at Minskey's Pizzaria in Lee's Summit, MO (291 Hwy and Chipmen Rd) Why: Drive in the country, about 130 miles.

We finalized the route today and let me tell you, it owns. It's a fantastic drive. On par with last years, featuring highlights of the absolute best parts. Twisty roads, good pavement, great scenery.

What people need to know:

1. This isn't a race, it's a rally. There will be a drivers meeting before hand and directions will be handed out. Take this road X miles, right turn a Y street at Z Miles etc. Directions will be extremely easy to follow. 2. Show up with a full tank of gas - There is a QuikTrip right across from the gathering place and there are a few stations along the way "just in case" 3. Lunch is pay your own way. 4. A Navigator is not required but recommended.

Spread the word to whichever clubs you feel should be a part of this. I'm sure it'll be fun for all. We're trying to keep it on a responsible level, so keep that in mind.

Pictures from last year.

Hah, I live right by Fleming Park, they have some really fun roads going through it, too bad they close them at night.

You guys missed a great time. Fear not, we decided that because of the cold weather and holiday... and also because those of us that went had a fantastic time that we are going to do it all over again in a few weeks. I'll keep you posted.

Cold *** morning.

The aftermath
