don't forget to check out the XD .45 if you're looking at a Glock.I found it to be a pleasant surprise once I properly molested one.
"Now you may ask if I regret it, if I would do it differently if I could, if I would take it back. NOT A CHANCE!!!!! I went for it. I put it all on the line. I always will. I made my decisions, and I accept the consequences. I'm no victim. And to those who are thinking about preaching at me, don't bother. I won't hear you. wah? Glocks are considered a bargain gun when looking for a good defensive handgun. Custom shop 1911's and Colt Pythons and Sig 210's are expensive. I for one hate the AR rifle family. when I go to get a rifle I'm probably gonna get an AK variant or assuming I do some serious saving, a Springfield M1A SOCOM.

It's in piece's right now because I had a "Hang Fire" the upper dust cover flew off and hit my wife. And my face was covered in black crap. I dropped the gun and then the spent shell came out looking like a half dollar. Very rare from what I'm told. I would have to agree, The AK's are way better then the AR family. And ammo is far cheaper then your .223 round. And I also like the handguns for your self defense needs. I have a New Hampshire concealment license and nothing fits better then my SW9VE shown above

yea the ak is better if what you are trying to kill is about 20yrds away after that the ar is supreme. aks are ****, cheaply made with no range. sure the 7.62 has more stopping power than the .223, but the accuracy of an ar-15 more than makes up for it i love my ar.

20 yards? I can hit 150 yards with my AK. and thats with a 7.62X39 mm. Step up to a dragunof 7.62.54 and you have your self a whole new ball game. But thats a sweet AR! Olympic arms are some of the best AR's out there! Bushmaster, colt, have gone down hill. Rock River arms are also very good.

Most of our projects focus on taking apart a perfectly good car and screwing it up. At least that's what the masses would think. In personalizing, customizing, and focusing our cars on performance above all else, we inevitably upset the delicate balance of ride and handling, horsepower and fuel economy, and perhaps even styling and anonymity that the OEM spent so many billions of dollars to achieve. Whatever, we think they're better.

Here's some more of mine. from top to bottom. Henry's arms .22/ Remington .22/ Highpoint 9mm carbine/ Highpoint .40 cal pistol. HighPoint makes a great gun. I got the 9mm carbine rifle the day I turned 18. There cheap, and have a lifetime warrenty. The highpoint .40 cal shoots better then my 400$ smith& wesson. I paid 170$ for the highpoint pistol.

I looked at those highpoints before at a local gun show but decided to wait and buy what I really wanted. The AR is REALLY expensive to shoot right now, ammo prices are through the roof. I'm looking into getting a reloading press but I'm torn right now. Its about to be summer and there are many things the 240 needs but.........I don't know what I'm gonna do yet.

that's why it's nice having something chambered in 7.62x39.I'm happy shooting Wolf out of my sks, it's no corrosive and one of the cleanest budget ammos for the caliber. I'll be damned if i'm gonna pay twice as much for winchester white box when I can have something that's gonna shoot just as well. I just despise the overall design of the AR. the only thing I'd borrow from it when designing a 5.56 rifl is the magwell and release for cheap drop free goodness. oh, Madlove for the Mossberg 500/590 line. you'll be hard pressed to find a better pump shotgun for the price...especially if you're a southpaw and want one that's ambidextrious.

That's my Remington 700 in .300 win mag. It's sub-moa accurate, and packs some fairly heavy recoil. I let one of my friends shoot it (he said he had shot before, didn't mention it was only .22s) and he scoped his forehead on the first shot . I also have a nice M91/30 Mosin for when I don't want to pay $1.25 a shot. Looking to pick up a pistol, probably a Sig P-226 in .40s&w.

I <3 the Nagant rifles...I've got one for 60 bucks someone modded to turn into a hunting rifle...they even heated the bolt handle and turned it down.fun rifles...ammo is usually mildly corrosive for them though But they're accurate and cheap. Not to mention powerful. Typical Russian rifle. I'd like to get one of the Nagant revolvers too....it's actually one of few if not the only revolver you can effectively suppress.

Agreed, they are a blast . I picked up some newer commercial ammo recently that was non corrosive, but the added cost pretty much defeats the purpose. I am looking to get an M44 carbine version as well. I hear because of the shortened barrel, they only actually burn about half the powder inside the barrel, the other half goes into spewing a respectable column of fire.

yes yes they do.it's usually about a foot long fireball. they're a little bit louder (hell, either one will deafen a person) and recoil is the same, just a little more muzzle rise. I've seen a handful in beautiful shape sell for right around a 100bucks here. even one without the bayonet lug. I'd really like to find one of the sniper rifles personally.

I picked up the M91/30 for around that, except for the manufacturer's stamp, it looks like it's only maybe 20-30 years old . They had a really nice example of the sniper version at the shop I got mine at. But I was looking for a plinking gun and it was $350 IIRC, so I passed it up, but it was in great shape with all the accessories.

Nice rifle. I have a Sig P229 in .40SW and it shoots really good. I was looking at the 226, but decided I did not need a full size. My 229 is just getting broken in at around 400 rounds. I have some pics but don't know how to put them up.

I have found that if you have some idea what your looking for, a gun show can be a pretty good way to go. IMO, going into a gun show with just no preconceptions or information is a good way to end up either making a bad deal or worse, buying an unsafe gun. The last gun I bought was from a gun show, and that private seller rule is quite the loophole it is claimed to be. I handed some guy a wad of bills, he handed me a rifle, no questions asked. Either way, doing a lot of research is never a bad idea, going to a shop is not going to hurt at all, except maybe a little on the bottom line of the price, but I just have a little better piece of mind shopping there.

while a USP is a great gun....a match version would be a bad move for a carry gun.it's entirely too damn big. if you wanna shoot in IDPA...it's a good buy. I doubt you'll find one of those pistols at a gun show though....best bet would be find a dealer that will order it and mark up no more than 10 percent of their cost. BUT chances are you won't get to handle one before you buy it like that, make damn sure it's what you want and will meet the criteria for which you're buying the gun in the first place.
