There is going to be a Nissan dyno day and cookout at Trackmasters in Huntsville, AL on March 31st 2007. Trackmasters is located on Commercial Dr. right off of Jordan Ln acrros from Chuckie Cheese.

The price for dynoing will be $40 for a couple of baseline runs or $50 if you want to use the wideband O2 sniffer.

I would also like to head out to the Huntsville Dragway later that evening to line up some cars. The price is $10 to race or $10 to watch.

As I get more details, I will post them here.

I'm down. I should have my S14 by then. You think it'd be cool if I ran a baseline run to see the stock output of the KA at the wheels? That's prolly all I'll be able to do with it.

Anybody is welcome to run on the dyno. If we get way over full, I may ask people to step aside to let more highly modified cars run, but I don't see that being a problem.

This price is not for tuning. This is to do a couple baseline runs. He will give you the print out which will have AFR on it which may help you tune out some of the spots in your map. If you want to do some tuning, you'll need to set that up with Arthur for another day. The goal is to get everyone who wants to know what their car can do on the dyno in one day.

I am definitely interested in seeing your Megasquirt setup.

It runs decently, by decently I mean it starts most of the time when its not flooding like theres no tomorrow and it needs to be tuned badly. Other than that it's fine, actually saw and felt boost for the first time since May 06.

Glad to here it. Should be a great time with lots of ideas and parts swapping.

Bring down anybody else you can talk to. This is the first time I've tried to get anything like this together and people keep asking for a number of people that are going to be there. I honestly have no idea how many there will be, but I am getting positive responses from several national and local forums as well as person to person contact.

It looks like I might be getting my car on the dyno with the rev limiter raised. I'm hoping for another 40 hp. Yay supercharger!

That was me. That was a fun time. I'm really looking forward to this year. Hopefully we can get a bigger group to head down. That's also one of the goals of this meet. I want to get some connection between the Nissan guys in this area. Everybody seems to be spread out in their own little groups.

Maybe I missed it, but what time is this starting at, and what time do you think we'll be heading to the track. Also, do we need to sign up or something to run on the dyno?

We are going to kick things off at 9am and go until everybody get there car dynoed. I also have some bad news. Due to some old ladies b**ching, the track has stopped doing "Midnight Madness" on Saturdays. I can't explain to you how mad that makes me. Some old bats built houses around the dragstrip(that has been ther for a long long time) and are now complaining that it's too loud. I wish they would let me talk to those people and explain if something is there first and you knew about it, then "Shut the F*** UP!". So I am in the works of figuring out an alternative plan of action. I'm really sorry about this, but not my fault. I post more when I know it.

ThanksWatty

That sucks about the track.......but really if you think about it.....and depending on how many people sign up for the dyno......that's pretty much a whole day alone......based on my experience with dyno days, 1 car takes a good 45 mins to an hour starting from pulling up, straping down, calibrate, 2-3 runs, unstrap, and pull off.........if we have 10 cars lined up to dyno, thats 10 hrs.....give or take

I think it averages out to about 30 minutes a car from the last couple dyno days I've showed up for. This is barring any problems. We'll see.

For directions throw this address in mapquest:

4628 Commercial Dr NWHuntsville, AL 35816

I wish I could nail down a hard number on the attendance, but I can't. The more I talk to people, the more I hear people know about it that I haven't told. There may be a twin turbo 350Z that was putting down 7??WHP on C16 at 30psi. I'm really hoping that this will start a new spread of activities and friendships across the area.

Watty, any plans for draging? or is that out?

Also, do we need to sign up for the dyno now, or is it first come first serve?

Well, it looks like drag racing on Saturday night is out unless you want to hit up some of the "alternate" drag races. Other than that, the track will be open on Sunday if we want to get a group out there. I was also thinking about laying out a route through some of the twisty back roads and going for a drive. My plans kinda got screwed so I'm really open for suggestions.

I think we'll just do a first come first serve sign up on Saturday. I'll make a grid with different time slots and let people fill in as they show up.
