240sx wipers go on by themselves

so im drivin down the road today and my wipers just start goin by themselves and they move faster when i turn em to fast but when i shut them off they just keep goin normal speed.. i unplugged the fuse and they stopped , and i plugged it back in and they start going again , and then twice when i plugged it back in they didn't move , and then theyd work with the switch like normal , either way , the washer fluid sprayers do not work, idk wtf's goin on but i need some help!..btw , it was 12 degrees out today when this happened

i had a similiar problem with my 90 pignose.i would turn the wipers on and they would more often then not they would'nt shut off. after replacing the time control unit the i had same problem, it turned out to be the wiper relay

Where is the wiper relay? In the wiper amp?

My S14 had the same problem. Turned out my wiper amp was full of water. I don't know how different the S13 system is though.

wiper amp is in the engine bay by the brake master/booster. It's the green box.

swweet , ill check those things , how do i know if a relay has gone bad? i fixed my problem temp. i just plugged in my sleepy eye switch into then two prongs for the wiper fuse and i can switch the wipers on and off whenever i want...and then i just popped my wiper fuse into the light fuse holder and everything works..EXCEPT: my hood sprayers still donot spray , yet they turn the wipers on like it actually did spray..and no im not outta fluid..lol
