Swedish supercarmaker Koenigsegg Automobile, Inc. has filed a lawsuit in the US District Court for the Central District of California against "Exotic Cars at Caesar's Palace", the DuPont Registry, Domani Motors, and a Mr. Wiseman and a Mr. Dupont.

The case alleges multiple complaints, including Trademark Infringement, False Declaration of Origin, Common Law Unfair Competition and Trademark Infringement, Trademark Dilution and Injury to Business Reputation.

Koenigsegg is the manufacturer of the CCR, the fastest production car in the world, with a top speed of over 250 mph. The U.S. version, dubbed the CCX, will be unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show at the beginning of March 2006. The 806 HP, 2200 pound carbon fibre supercar goes 0 to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds, and runs the standing quarter mile in just 9 seconds at 146 mph.

Exotic Cars, located in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, to be the first and only dealer in the United States for its exclusive supercars. A version of the world's fastest production car is now on display in the Exotic Cars Showroom at Caesars Las Vegas.

Looks like they're having problems with that exotic dealership in Caesar's Palace. Can't tell for sure without seeing the rest of it, but looks like maybe they're selling Koenig's with out being licensed to?

^ I'm going to guess they're making a wheel or something that's way to close to someone elses. As in a direct copy.

Ouch. That one might linger for a while.

OK, back on topic.... Who's gonna be the lucky bastard that gets to sell the CCX if this relationship is irretrievable?

rofl...I hate the Veyron.

I blame my dislike for newer VW.

I miss the days of the MK II Golf.

does the CCX use a Ford motor?

no. they used to use a ford block with their own internals, but that's been dropped. the ccx engine is designed and built completely by koenigsegg.

i saw a website somewhere about this. i think the dealership is dubbing themselves as koenigsegg USA LLC. making them appear to be an entity of koenigsegg in the US. in reality, all they are is a distributer for the ccx.

lol when I started responding I just read the link and no one else had posted. I just figured it was something with a similiar or exact wheel design or something. The only think I knew about Ksig was that they are a high end wheel company. I was just guessing in the dark. I should have just said, " looks like a lawsuit."

How is a swedish company that hasn't made it to the states yet protected under the Copyright and Patent laws of it's name? Maybe I missed something here, it's too early and I didn't get much of this, hah.
