I would like to know why most of you own, have owned or plan to own any of the 240SX variants (i.e. 180sx, 200sx, Sileighty and Silvia). I am conducting a market research project and would like your most open and honest answers.

Feel free to email me if you'd like!

It's sex on wheels. Reliable sex no less, which is a rarity in itself.

I found it to be the best choice to build a good, reliable street/track car out of. usually sub 150k miles. rwd. no abs/sunroof/power windows/locks (base model FTW) tremendous aftermarket support, many engine swap choices, power potential is limitless. a base model s13 chasis is a really good, lightweight, starting point to build a great car.

s14s are clean looking almost no matter what. what else can give you show and go at the same time? nothing. its an all around awsome car to look at and so much fun to drive with the solid sr20det engines!

I have always loved z cars. From z's I always admired the S chassis styling. So when the oppurtunity to get a 240sx came up, I jumped on it. I have never regreted it. So far its still in my garage in pieces, and my daily is a civic si(another wonderful machine). The parts are plentiful. I am disappointed at the SOHC support but then again not to many people keep them nowadays. The one benefit that out ways many is the fine community here on NICO.

As far as design. The car is well balanced. Easy to drive. Fun to drive. Engine bay is relatively easy to work in. I gotta say I am looking forward to this summer when my project get really underway.

Because of 240sx.org. I remember back in '94-'95 seeing a chuki fastback close up and admiring the looks of it. I was really into hondas at the time and didn't know much about nissans (my first dream car was a b18 swapped crx.)

Fast forward four or five years I come across an ad in Sport compact car for 240sx.org. After a bunch of reading of (the very few at the time) turbo 240 threads, 240sx "kill" stories, as well as entertaining posts by "Lost to a K-Car", I discovered the great potential of this affordable car that has always caught my eye. The more I learned, the more I loved the car and have been a fan ever since.

i loved the car back when my older cousin got one when i was about 10. after 11 years later, i'm 21 now, i still love my car for its reliability, potential with after market support, cheap price (but going up after FNF:TD ...doh!), RWD, looks amazing, and its overall a great car to drive!

RWD, tremendous potential, wanted something not as common around where i live (go to my school OCC and you'll see 1000 hatchbacks not even kidding), looks awesome, many things you can do (drift, grip, etc), not as expensive: car itself is not that expensive and motor swaps and such are relatively cheap compared to hondas and such. and becuase my mom hates it =]

a few reasons why I like my car. lol well its kinda like this GT on ps1 I loved the 180sx even with very minor mods it was just a superior car. That holds true even in real life. I grew up around an uncle that had 3~5z's at all times till about 95. A wall owned my ss s10 and I got owned by allstate(f*** azz biznitch azz.....) got 2 grand for my 10 grand truck and got the 240 for its possibilities and I4S(took same corner with just about same rain faster with stock blown shocks and no problems at all) I even think the piggy is faster by a few 10'ths of a second. the thing handles like a monster out of the box(blown stock shock) better then the wifes old civic or my friends old crx. They are hot as hell too,I get old *** guys that used to own z cars and ask all kinds of Q's. Hell at the junkyard these old black dudes walk up and asked me all kinds of ****. lol asked if I wanted to blaze wtf? it was funny none the lesspoint is even the first models are timeless in looks and handling(although we here in the states got skrewed up on the power options) great affordable and somewhat reliable

My reasons:1) I've loved 240's (and Z cars) since I was a little kid. A guy down my street used to have a two-tone coupe and I told myself that one day i'd own a 240sx.

2) Best car I could buy with the little amount of money I had.

3) It's RWD!!!

4) With expensive gas prices...the good ol' KA isn't a gas guzzler.

5) I never saw a vert 240 before. I asked myself how awesome would it be to own a vert as a first car?

6) Pop up headlights...always been a fan of them.

7) I love how they look.

8) Aftermarket support is huge.

9) My parents wanted me to get a Corolla or Civic (nothing wrong with them but let's be serious here) I didn't feel like driving a car that everyone else had. I needed something different.

10) It's teh awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
