Adjustment on the fly is very handy for a street car. Plus, on some cars, getting to the dampening adjustment is a *****. So give it a try before you start knocking it.

That being said, I will now explain why edfc is the single most worthless innovation to ever be invented for coilover setups.
1.) It is not convenient.Adjusting ALL FOUR dampers on a car with coilovers(without edfc) takes 1 minute flat. Not exagerating here. ONE MINUTE. If you are really too lazy to get out of your car to change the damping, you are one LAZY ****.
After finding out what damping setting you like on the street, you don't touch it. You leave the settings be. This means you don't have to mess with them untill you end up at a track event. At this track event, you are gonna be swapping wheels, adjusting camber settings, possibly swapping pads and rotors, and adjusting damping. Point being, just about everything takes longer than adjusting damping settings.
2.) The design fu cking sucks.Wanna know why some Tein's are edfc compatible and others are not? Ever wonder why the cheap teins are the compatible ones? It's because the cheap teins utilize a non-inverted front strut design. Quality well designed coilovers ALL use monotube, inverted front dampers. The inverted strut design is far stronger and more stable than the non-inverted design. Edfc can't be used on non inverted coils, because the adjustment knobs are at the bottom of the coilover assemblies, and would get knocked off within a day.
Basically, tein loves this because they can sell poorly designed coilovers for high prices because people like you guys buy them to run the load of BS that is edfc, and thus pay even more money to tein. What do you end up with? Non-inverted front coilovers with retardedly overpriced little motor things bolted to the tops of them.
The funniest part about this is that non-inverted coils have the easiest to adjust dampers ever, because the knobs are all up top, so you guys can't even ***** and moan about having to kneel down to get to the bottom of the coils like I do to adjust my kts.
So perhaps you are too lazy to open the hood to perform the extremely simple task of damping adjusting by hand? Maybe you should buy a Cadillac. They have lots retarded electronics as well, and you won't be allowed to open the engine bay because it will be under warranty, and the dealer will do all the work on it. Hell, why modify a car at all if you are that lazy?
Cliffs: EDFC is worthless because it doesn't save any time, and it is utilized on an inferior coilover design.
And yes, I really enjoy hammering on people who claim that it is cool, because it is not. It's cleansing to my mind and soul explain this fact in vivid detail and flame those who think otherwise, because I know that I am right. EDFC supporters are not allowed to argue with me because in their heart they know that I am right and that they are lazy.
Thank you and have a good day.
PS: 1500 bucks? **** that. Stance or KTS.
EDIT:
HMMMMMMMM.
So I forgot to mention the fact that tein flex are twin tube. Do you guys know how much twin tube dampers suck compared to monotube? I don't feel like explaining it myself, so you can read the below article.
