Guys -

Just wanted to alert you to the existence of one of our sponsors, BlaZt.

http://ad.nicoclub.com/phpads/...jerry

Jerry at BlaZt has made it super-simple to scan your OBD-I ECU just like the factory techs do. No more fiddling with the ECU, counting flashes, messing with the screw on the back - Just hook your laptop up to the ECU and watch all of your engine's parameters and sensors in real time!

He has the "consult" software, the data cables, all the connectors you'll need.

For as little as $99, it's ridiculous NOT to own one.

I don't have an OBD 1 nissan but I just wanted to say that this is really cool.

As far as I know, most OBD 1 cars don't have the capablity that the Nissans do so kudos to Blazt for putting this out.

OBD 1 was from 90 to 95, right?

Said it before and I'll say it again, it's great that Nissan ECU support is finally catching up with DSM's/Hondas.

yes. and it seems it'd work better than a scan tool(maybe not as many options...but some) and being able to access all the sensors

I would totally get it...if I had a laptop.

I really should get one, but I just can't seem to convince myself it's worth the money. In all honesty, I don't have nearly enough money for the things I want, but then again that could be due to my lack of a job and any form of cash flow.

Guess I'll stick with school for now.

So this will work with ODB 1 JDM cars too ?

I have been looking for something like this for my Silvia, but cause it's odb1, i've had a bit of trouble.

Lately i've been using my Emanage support tool to do the work, but i want something that does temps and other things..

May have to send an email off

Pete

Don't have a data port where? On your lappy?

Then they have a USB version.

Oh I meant I do not have the consult terminal on my car hooked up due to SR wiring.

Is this something I can just splice into the ECU like SAFC and such?

Its the same thing as the aussie version you can buy online, but about $30 more expensive! The only difference is the lack of adapter board.

The software even looks the same...

Don't do it... they are available locally pete...I think Blazt get them from the guys here in oz.(The guy who makes them is also called pete, and lives in Tea Tree Gully, right here in SA) PS: and yes, I believe you can do power balance tests

Sorry about this, but the same cable is available from a local.... as much as we would like to help a NICO sponsor, there is no point in adding cost by going through a middle man.

you also need the adapter board.... Its not a direct interface from the consult to the computer!
