I'm in love.

Just got this done today. My 16+ year old s13 had pretty much all of her factory exhaust components. (including all heat shielding)

Turns out my factory cat was plugged more than a fella who bonged 3 beers straight. So it was removed.

At first it was just 2.25 pipe from flange before the cat, all the way to the dynomax super turbo. Car was alive like you wouldn't believe. ( anything would be an improvement over the plugged cat)

But after 3k rpm the car sounded like ***. Sounded like many other 240s and countless hondas I hear around here - don't mean to offend anyone but I can't stand that sound.

I only drove her 3 miles tops, filled her up and went back to the shop. They put in a baffled resonator, I believe an 18 incher where the cat used to be.

Pure money.

The car is so quiet and smooth and still rips good. So impressed this is exactly what I wanted.

Sound? I swear its quieter than an oem system. No joke. Have I heard a perfect factory system on a 240? No. But this is awesome.

I was VERY hesitant on removing the cat, just because I knew what it sounded like before on a 240 with a straight through muffler. But once the resonator was put in, I can't tell you how satisfied I am.

I LOVE this exhaust setup.

yeah I had a summit turbo muffler on b4 the fart can. Also with a gutted cat and resonator. I would say it sounded good and monotone, not overly loud like no muff or my fart can. I like the look of the fart can more tho. Hell it sound better than any civic would. I did the cheapest way to do it. 2.25" straight pipe from the axle back, with a backfire of all backfires. Louder than being shot at. Or maybe less of a rush. Scares the **** out of the old folks and pedestrians. Before with the turbo muffler it was hidden treasure.

I say once the muffler goes through a few more prolonged heat cycles it will develop any signature sound its suppose to have.

Anyone wanting a good flowing quiet exhaust, this is the answer. I could have definitely gone 2.5 inch and still had a really quiet exhaust - but going to that size pipe the price increases more...

Just wanted to say that I've also enjoyed Dynomax mufflers on my 240. Ever since I heard a sound clip off someone's personal 240 site...I knew that was the sound I wanted.

Ive ran the 2.5, dual out 2.5, and now im turboed running the 3". They all have that 'signature sound' you refered to which is just great when opened up. Good to see someone else likes their mufflers as well.

Its been a week and shes still quiet as a mouse. Not everyone's cup of tea but those of us who like a quieter 4 banger its sweet.

You think I could do the exact same thing with a sr20det? Can you post up a audio file of what you car sounds like? Everything I hear over here sounds either horrible , too loud or the car's dying. My goal really is to have a nice quiet system close to OEM but still scream power.

I could do a clip this week maybe, but honestly it was the baffled resonator that made the night and day difference.

It sounded like @ss with the 2.25/no cat/straight to the muffler. (and its not a straight through muffler either)
