CE28N's Stoptechs installed (large offsets stock fenders)

Just a follow up for those who've seen the install post... brakes are on and the AXXIS ULTIMATES are bedded in...

Wheels:
CE28N Bronze
17x9 +15 F
17x9.5 +22 R

Front fenders are in really poor shape so rolling (rented a fender roller) took its toll on them. The rears did really well except for the rear passenger side fender cracked really badly due to the bondo that was underneath (looks like a minor repair was done... car checked out clean when I bought it 3 years ago). The passenger front fender did pretty well, but the driver side buckled on the back portion. I might try and weld the crack and fix it, but I'm not sure. my front end conversion is planned for this winter or next spring, so I might fix the paint/body at that time... time will tell.

I need bigger tires... these were free (235 F/245 R) so I'm not complaining. I rolled the fender as much as I could and I think I can fit 255's and maybe 265's (depending on what I can stuff up front...), so we'll see.

Surprising enough... my car handles much much better with the new wheels/tires and stops much better than it use to with the stock 205's and stock brakes...

My goose flew away... but here's my dog in front of the car for "randomness" 240sx2nr95

Actually washed it for the 3rd time since I've owned it today (about 3 years now... 4 in Nov)... I'll get day pics sometime soon... still need to fix the paint some more where it cracked on the RR passenger fender... looks a lot better than it did though...

Front fenders are rolled ~3/4... fronts won't really very well.. you should watch a front fender being rolled... jello comes to mind. I'm second guessing not getting "wide body" front fenders for the silvia conv now...

Yeah, you really need to take the front fenders off to roll them correctly. They flex too much to roll when they are on the car.

I removed mine, layered a bunch of towels behind them, and worked the inner fender lip with a hammer untill it was perfectly flat. Worked perfect and did not wrinkle the fender or mess up the paint at all.

My front is 17x9+20 with 235s and -2 degrees camber.

Thanks for the tip!

Honest... I might use that when I get my Silvia fenders, but these fenders were in poor shape when I got them so I'm not so worried about how perfect they are as long as they clear the tires.

A side note... I really happy about the Kei Office XT's since the ride quality hasn't changed substantially with the shorter sidewalls... I'd highly recommend them to anyone interested in a quality coilover!

nice car and wheels! from the looks of the wheel fitment id say you really didnt have to roll them that much to clear your tires.

Seems like it would have been wiser to get the correct offset and not wreck the fenders.

Cast or forged?

They are forged... 14.8lbs for the 17x9's in the front and a bit more for the 9.5's in the rear

sub 15 lb wheel in 17x9. I don't even want to know how much those cost.

They look good though.

and I want to hump your brake's (If only you replaced the word AXXIS with Carbotech).

Thanks!

Ha... funny you say that... I drove Carbotech's enduro Z31 last year and definitely plan on getting a set after driving on them when I'm done with the Axxis pads...
