VH4x stockcar small vid

Dont really know how to post a vid etc. Please reply if any probs. Have shrunk vid down to less than 1 meg as I thought that was the limit..oh well next time!BTW this engine is a VH45 running 41 crank. It has to be within 250ci (or thereabouts) so I think 4 or 4.1 may is the limit. Also no injection etc allowed.Engine has modded cams, 4 barrel holley, conservatively ported heads, quite long run intake manifold (I havent measured runners yet), VCT is run off a relay from the shift lite output. That sounds sweet as!Carb on a VH? You must have really wanted to use the VH to go to all the trouble of decreasing capacity and ditching the injection!

Not really. using the VH meant only pistons to be changed. As far as i know the rods have had the usual linish treatment etc but everything else except cams pretty much std. The stockcars have to be carbied. Also has aftermarket valve springs. They costed a bit as i think the guys had probs getting something cheap and common to fit.This car may be a bit rough, but it isnt far from the top in its class. The main reason he didnt get to race the finals last year was that the comp ratio was at 10:2 instead of the regulated 10:0. This season maybe....Also inj isnt allowed and holley 4 barrels are cheap and 'easy'.

Sweet looking manifold.Great idea running VTC off the shift light, too. I wonder why no one thought of that 40 years ago...
