I did s14 blacktop swap on my 95 240 sx. The car starts great, idles great, revs up great.. nothing is wrong untill 5 minutes have passed, then it wont rev up past 1800rpm. Even with full throttle it just fluctuate between 900rpm and 1800rpm. REALLY NEED HELP. I have changed CAS sensor, o2 sensor. I think MAF is ok because if MAF is bad then it wont go past 2400rpm but it also shouldnt run strong first 5 minutes if MAF was bad. I have AEM EMS and i have reading for the voltage for MAF. I havent got a chance to go around AEM EMS because I need to get it running with stock ECU before I can do that. Let me know if anyone have any idea. Thank you.

It's a mafs issue. The oscillating idle tells me that right away. I'm not too familiar with the EMS, does it have a setting for what type of air flow sensor like the AFC's do? Switch back to the stock ecu and start trouble shooting from there. I'm almost certain it's a mafs issue.

I agree with 180fan. Start with the factory setup (MAF & Computer) and then trouble shoot.

I recently did a sr20det swap and ran into a situation with the MAF. He opted for the ka24e MAF since his cash was low and i had an extra 1 in the spare parts... anyway... same symptoms as listed above... I ended up getting my hands on the fsm and checked the pin schematic. After understanding the function of each wire, i disconnected the ground and power supply only leaving the signal wire to be hooked up. Then proceeded to hook up the ground and power supply externally from the harness. The car responded well! We then reset the computer and reconnected the pins at the MAF and started up once again. It was operating correctly...

Good Luck
