It should be noted that all online resources say that the car curb weighs @ 2700-2800lbs.

The coupe & fastback are said to be around 2600, which is pretty close to what ppl actually weigh at.

I posted a lil while back where I actually got my car weighed w/ spare/half tank of gas or so, and it turned out to be 3100lbs +/- a few lbs.

Just something to throw into the equation .

"Recommended fuel: regular unleaded "

wrong...i read the manual..it says 91 octane for best performance, and it says on the gas door "premium gas is recommended for best performance"

not that it matters just something i noticed

All the 240s said '91 for best performance', but they all just recommend regular. Most cars now are the same, except performance models (350z, SE-Rs, etc).

And the Verts probably sold at $24k or $25k. My '92 Coupe SE had the original sticker of close to $22K with it, when I bought it in '95.

The KA will run fine on 87 octane. Most 240 owners put in the low grade fuel.

In my own personal experience, I had a '96 240 with a KA. I got significantly better gas mileage and performance out of 91 octane or higher. It didn't add up with what most other owner's said... but there was no doubt in my mind.

Best thing to do is try a tank of each and compare your results.. how does it drive, and how far did you get in mileage?

I found my original sticker in my door back when I first bought the car. $22,000.

Also, I weighed my car with a half tank and some junk in the trunk and it came out to 2960 lbs. Throw me in and it would definitely be over 3100.

I remember someone had the original nissan specs posted in JPEG format somewhere. They're saved on my computer at home. I'll toss em up when I get back from work.

EDIT: Here's the pics I have

Gotta love the N/A for curb weight >.> way to do some homework.
