welp, im finally doing it, I have almost every DIY swap guide from almost every forum,

I have an 89 KaE Automaicim buying 95 KaDE and 5spd and 95 ECU

After searching all morning, im left with a few questions still....

Can i leave the 95 motor as it is ( not swap the intake manifold ), and just replace all the wires and ECU with the new stuff and be OK?Also any insight to the swap would be great.

was up ryan! the ka24e intake wont fit on the de anyway. Either way you don't need to do it. Only reason you would swap the intake mani is because of the multiple sensors on it, making it easier to swap the intake itself with them on it. Like I said, regardless, it would have to be from a s13 dohc to the s14 dohc like what I did. Use the ECU / ECM with the wiring harness that came with the motor and it will work fine. OBD II is in the sensors, ECU, and wiring harness. As long as those match up you are good to go. e-mail me man if you have any more questions. good luck!

thats good news that ur finally doingthe 5 speed swap....the only regrets i have on my transmission swap was that i used an obd 1 transmission on my 95 s14...however i have a check engine light code 77 i beleive which is the crank position sensor...but i agree with mr wizard on the intake manifold good luck with the swap and keep me updated

so what you guys are saying is to leave everything on the 95 motor and transmission alone, drop it in and use the 95 ECU and harness that im buying, to replace my existing ecu and harness, and i should be fine... ?
