ive seen a number of people asking when were doing this, and looking for info, so id like to put a thread here to catch people who may not have seen it yet, weve got a thread in the northeast meets region but i know not everybody goes there

the meet is next saturday, may 20th

well quite possibly have stuff going on sunday as well, and if you need somewhere to spend the night, either to hang around sunday or if you just want to wait until sunday morning to drive home, well be camping in s14boy's backyard

ok, events:

there will be plenty to do, plenty of car related stuff to see in and around the village

well actually be meeting at the state park, weve got a parking and picnic area figured out, and the park is surrounded by the original street course

we can lap the original street course, quite a fun drive, and a 15 car parade would look pretty cool

and of course, the reason most people know the area, the track itself will be less than a 5 minute drive from where we are meeting

there will be porsche racing going on the weekend were there, so we wont be able to actually drive the track this time, but we can go watch

in the village theres a motorsports museum/collection/library, basically a collection of parts and books and all sorts of motorsports-related stuff

well be able to do other stuff, its really a nice area in general, if you enjoy scenery and photo-ops, youre in the heart of the finger lakes after all

were just looking to get a bunch of people together to have a good time, and meet other people from the club

if youre interested, just say so, other people whove known about this will be dropping in to make comments as well

I'm still up in the air .....I will know more on sunday. Sorry . I might just drive up on Saturday. The drive up should be a good break-in for my SR, if it gets running.

Okay, I'm officially not going...I just have too much to do for the car and alot cleanup yet ahead of me. I really wanted to go, but I'm afraid if I push and rush to get the car ready for friday something will break. Instead I will try organize a meet here in Binghamton sometime soon. Sorry guys, I really did want to meet you all.

I'll definitely go to new york for a meet, but this is bad timing. I get out of school on the 19th and my car definitely isn't gonna be ready for me to pitch out right away.
