Yes. Brand New california custom OR eibach springs are a thing of the past.

Ok Wes - thanks for the update.

Any other source? I really don't want to cut a coil out of these tired springs.

Ah.. fear not... there's a Japanese company called Espelir that makes springs for G50s.You can find them easy in Japanese Yahoo auctions for around $200 ~ $300.I would have bought it if I hadn't bought the eibachs for my Q.

Ok - what's the work around? Wes - might you be able to do some kind of a group buy on these springs directly above? Will be needing some kind of springs soon as I'm needing to de-activate.

Originally I inquired bout the above mentioned springs a while back but no one has replied or had anything to say bout them.

There was a seller on Ebay selling them for 220 shipped. I ended up scoring a set of Cal Customs on Ebay brand new for 150 shipped.... and never looked back.

Oh, I hope those Japanese Auctions are cheaper than direct from Espelir. From digging around with minimal ability to read japanese, I think this is a price listing direct from manufacturer: http://www.espelir.co.jp/NISSAN%201.html Looks like for both front and rear, it's 52500 yen or about $459 w/o shipping. OUCH. Hope we can get a group buy together b/c I'm in a real need for springs.

WEll it appears much to my dismay someone may hvae tried to undermine me.. someone from a "q45 board" bought all the springs.. he convenently bought all 13 of the remaining sets that I had requested before he did...

If its someone on NICO, which I trust its not, I am not happy. Especially if you plan on taking the sets and making money on them.. I cant imagine itd be anyone but someone on NICO though, because we're by far the biggest Q forum and no other Q forum seems to be as dedicated as we are...... It seems to me someone saw my group buy and snuck in there before I actually made the transaction.

Maybe a coincidence? possibly, but it certainly seems pretty convenient that all 13 sets of remaining springs were sold the day before I paid (or was going to pay).

Obviously Simon would not disclose this informaiton... BTW he sold his very last set to one of the members on NICO here (who was in my GB) for $275... He had to have made more money by selling them to someone else vs selling them to me.

I was thinking about that too brian.. I want to try and get another set of the cali customs and maybe see if coilsprings.com could recreate them...

Hey Wes,

Keep me posted. I'd definitely be interested in getting the springs if the price is under $250 or so. I'd rather pay a bit more than give money to that a--hole who bought all the springs up.

I saw some Cali-custom springs on e-bay(that's exactly what they were called) a month back or so and didn't recognize the seller so I thought it was the guy Wes buys them from who was selling them. That's just plain raw. Just goes to show how cut throat people can be.

Pending the outcome of this situation, does anyone have a walkthru on cutting the springs? I know some have it.

Mackin Industries in CA is the USA Distributor for Espelir Springs, I emailed them to see 1st if they still make the Q45 springs because they do not advertise them, then if they are avail from japan we might me able to order thru them, I'll see if i can get my dealer discount. If you ever notice my old q45racing.com site I had these springs on there... but once again the cost from japan would have put them over the eibach. but now that Mackin imports the whole brand it might be cheaper.

Sounds like someone needs their NICO club card revoked.

While I wasn't in on the GB, its still bull$hit that someone would pull something like this.

We're supposed to help each other out, not screw each other over!
