mettler, what transmission were you planning on using? like a T56 or T6 transmission?
I tire of hearing people say that. If it was a simple matter of just bolting on a 300ZX flywheel I would have done that myself. As it stands, I visited the authorised Nissan Dealer in my city and got them to source me a second hand 300ZX flywheel, the only one they could find in the country too, and it was still going to cost over NZD$700 to purchase.
That, combined with the fact that a 300ZX twin turbo transmission isn't cheap or easy to find, makes my solution a far more viable one for me.
Considering my flywheel costs only $1k for a SIGNIFICANTLY superior item and was specifically engineered for the VH41DE engine, it's the better choice every time.
I used a Toyota W57 transmission, they're common as mud and about as cheap too, easy to replace if it pops, which it shouldn't right up until about 500 hp
