When I was working on my ignition problem I disconnected the airbag harness just to be safe. After I got done working on the ignition I plugged the airbag harness back in and now the light on the dash is flashing. I have unhooked the battery for about 15 minutes and the dash light is still flashing..how do I get it to stop?

Sounds like you may have the same issue I had when I bought mine over the summer. Here's what Wes told me to do:

"Its possibly in diagnostic mode. Put the key in the ignition, turn it ON (engine not running), press the door switch (on the B pillar, below the latch) at least 10 times within 10 seconds of turnning on the ignition, and it should go off"

Here's a diagram of the B pillar Wes gave:

Nope...that didn't fix the problem. Can an OBD scanner clear whatever is causing the light to be on? Any other suggestions?

Well, that fixed the flashing of my air bag light, which started after i put in a new CD player. But i had to do the door switch 2-3 times before it works. May be you should try it again. (just a suggestion, since i don't have a answer)

i got a question.kinda off topic.seams my car has no fuse in the airbag system.so i called the dealership to ask them why they sold it to us with it being checked off as working.got the car serviced yesterday and thye checked it good again.seams shady to me.they dont want me to put a fuse in it.they want to see the car.and they said its my problem.that cant be right.i can prove they lied over and over in there own writing.what should i do.is the light supposed to be on if there is no fuse to say its not working. idoit light better not be disconnected or god help them.

Speaking of airbags, is there an easy way for an idiot (me) to disconnect the passenger airbag in a '94 J30T to prevent my dog from getting killed when I get into a fender bender? Something tells me it's probably illegal but I'm not really sure. Tried to get a switch installed once and was told they only do it for people who transport little kids or something like that.

Please don't tell me to put Fido in the back seat.....this dog insists on 1st class treatment with full windshield viewing. The back seat is strictly for 2nd class citizens.

I dont know if unplugging it would do anything.... thats iffy at best... the plug for the airbag would be in the glovebox area (gotta take stuff off to find it)
