Just wanted to post that I found out the cause for the misfire. Head gasket leaking coolant into #4 cylinder. Coolant level dropping with no evidence of a leak externally. BUMMER!!Just wanted to mention...after I turned the cel off with the scanner, it still misses, but doesn't turn the cel on anymore. Although it just misses for a few seconds at start up, maybe not long enough to trip a code. Too bad, I was beginning to like this car.

swap the coil on number four with the coil on number one. then clear the code and take it for a drive. if you get a code for a number 1 misfire, youll know that you have a bad coil.

hello,About a month ago I noticed my Sentra missing slightly on start up. I did a scan check, and pulled a code for number four misfire. I bought a new plug, and the code was gone until today. I was going to buy a new COP, but I thought I'd post here, and see if anyone else has had this problem. I'm new to Nissan, but turned a few wrenches in the past. Once it stops raining, I'll run out and scan it again. I'm sure it will be the same code though.TIA for any suggestionsLeo
