I would check out the actual models in the showroom and see which units you like the features/functions of better. Are you also planning on sending the DVD feed to the Nav screen so your Nav screen can serve as DVD screen as well I did that on my '04 QX56 and on my '08 Armada as well. Let me know if you have any questions!

I have a 2005 QX56 that doesnt have the factory installed DVD in the back. So, I have been talking to car audio installers and researching on the internet to which brand might be the best.I am leaning towards for Myron and Davis (ANS185) since it is a respected brand. There is also, Audiovox 10.2" Vod102, Directed Video 9" ohd901 and Alpine 10". They all run about $1000 for the unit and the installation. So, price is not the determining factor. They all can be hard wired - no FM modulators. Each car audio shop promotes the product that they carry. i.e. Some say that MyronDavis unit is 2yrs old and do not have new technology. I see many threads about different solutions but not a thread that compares them.Btw, the dvd will be installed with the AXXESS IPOD Connection and possibly with a switch so that my wife can make changes to the nav system while I am driving. Which dvd entertainment system do you guys recommend
