The 280ZX was a bloated pig that handled like crap and couldn't get out of its own way. I drove brand new ones, the Turbo was okay but the NA was a turd compared to the Z31, back in the day (and I was there back in the day) it was a massive upgrade. I was just about to buy a brand new 84' Supra in 1984 when the Z31 came out....the Z31 blew the 280ZX away in every way including losing pounds, length and a better rear supension design. If the car is a turbo than that is different, with 180 HP and easy ways to crank that up higher it is more interesting. If not stay witht the Z31 which had a much better suspension design (especially the rear) and much more power out of the stock NA motors.
