Yeah... I would check with local import repair shops or even car toys... They usually install remote start stuff. From what I was told the remote start itself is seperate unit from the transponder key.... Because you would still need the key to drive right or otherwise the remote start will disengage. Best bet is to seek the advice of other mechanics. Let them give you a quote and they actually would check it out and give you more information.. Possibly free information.... Ya know... otherwise ... get in good with the mechanics there... hook up for a hookup.. maybe you have some nun chuk skills to offer otherwise tell them you'll ghost ride the whip into the shop... Jus kidding.. make sure wear seat belts at all times... with a movie in the navi going on... hehe... Good Luck man... Its a sweet ride though..I still have to activate my remote and keys... slackin...

Quote, originally posted by iNfinitiNBeYond Yo... Check out Ebay.. They got all types of stuff for the qX56.. Beware some stuff may not fit or what you dont want but check with seller and confirm before you order and you'll have the exact thing you are looking for. I got an extra set of OEM stock alarm for like $20.00 buckaraoos and the keys I have seen for 15 to 20 buckaraoos...That cheap dude.. but you have to cut them and program them if you have the transponder key. Which on 06 is standard. You can take it to a locksmith and get it cut and then take it to the dealer to program it. I think the dealer would charge like 50 and the dealers keys are a ripp off which you probably had experienced....I think they quoted me 180.00 for new key and programing thats a pair of Jordans Yo or hella Socks...check out this link....http://motors.shop.ebay.com/__...sacat= I appreciate the response man. However, the Stealer told me that specific key would mess with my remote start. Not sure whether I believe him or not, but it would be an expensive way to find out for sure. They said if it doesn't work they would have to find the receiver that is hidden in the car and it would be more trouble than it is worth... I am NOT impressed with my local Infiniti dealer...Thanks again man,Jonny

Quote, originally posted by Promise Land There are usually three keys sent with every new Infiniti QX56. Two will have the chrome Infiniti logo, and the third will not. It will either be just black or have the logo molded into the plastic (but will still be black). The blanks they order are usually the plain black, but they can get the chrome logo keys if you specify you want it (it's probably a few bucks more). Either will functionally work the same.Well, I called to see why I didn't get the Chrome Infiniti Logo key I requested. They told me that because I have remote start on the car, they were worried that key would mess up the transmitter installed on the car. Because the transmitter is hidden, they couldn't find it to replace it...So now I have 2 black keys Thanks for your response Jonny
