I definately concur with the transmission diagnosis, either that or a cv axle slipping, but the axle wouldnt throw a code. I would definately have the CEL checked.

Like she was hit from behind As in the car just lurched forward or something Transmission Maybe it slipped out of gear and then back in somehow while she already on the throttle. *Bam!* Wild guess.Anyway, if the CE light came on have it scanned by a mechanic. It should be flagging an error code.

I have a 2001 Quest with 119,000 miles. My wife had just taken off from a light and she said that it felt like she was hit from the rear and there was no one behind her. The CEL also came on at that time. She only had about a half mile to go to work and said it did ok the rest of the way. All ideas, suggestions, and prayers will be appreciated.
