The OP has already made up his mind, and more power to him. But I don't think the SR is a good match for the 350Z, hell I don't even think the SR is a good match for the 240sx. (KA-T here)

Bottom line, that 510HP SR was no cheap engine, and if that is all it's going to make, I don't see how that was any cheaper then building a VQ and turboing that.
