That's a lot! Could easily go another 100kms once it comes on. That's a bit premature if you ask me. So long as I know where I stand, though. Better safe than sorry. The other day I was going by the DTE feature and once it got to 20kms it changed to all asterisks - no distance. I filled up very soon after and still only squeezed 65 litres in. So 15 litres from the time the light comes on makes sense.

the light comes on when there is 15 liters left, or 3.96258078537222638745631592 gallons in the tank. Its not that harmful to drive that low. The fuel helps keep the pump cool, but its not as big an issue as in older vehicles.

you already figured it out for yourself...if you goto fill it up as soon as it lights up, you're still ok since there's fuel left to keep the pump cool...on my 2002, it has 4 gallons left out of the 20 gallon tank for mine's to light up ~68 miles of fuel before empty

The manual says "This light comes on when the fuel level in the fueltank is getting low." Duh! I want to know how many litres (approximately) remain in the tank at that point so that I can tell - roughly - how far I can still go. I also want to check the accuracy of the copmputer's disitance to empty feature.I can find out myself by simply filling right up as soon as the low fuel light comes on and seeing how many litres it actually takes. It's a 76 litre tank so if if it takes 70 litres then I'll know there's about 5 in resreve once the light comes on. I will do this myself anyway but I'm just wondering if this info is published anywhere.Btw, please don't tell me that it's not wise to run the tank that low. I know, but I just want to know, ya know
