To check the fuel pressure, you can get a fuel pressure tester from advance auto for around 30 bucks. The pressure should be somewhere around 40-50, if its less then that, then it might be enough to start the vehicle but not enough to keep it running, especially when you open the throttle and let in more air. To test the TPS, just unplug it while its running, if there's a change, its not your problem.

got a 93 nissan quest that will sometimes start and other times it wont start. when it does start the idle is really rough but as soon as you touch the throttle the car will stall, before this started to happen the car would always start it had really bad acceleration, especially from a stop the car would sputter. im starting to lean toward either the fuel pump or tps, how do u check fuel pressure on this car and how would you check proper tps operation any other help and/ or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
