Great negotiating experience. It really helped to know a lot of information going in (including all of your experiences from this thread).WANTED a 09' Murano like yours........always have question like this: when people says "Purchased for $32,500" do you mean Out Of Door Price or just selling price (before TTL) I got a quote from a Nissan dealer in NJ 2 weeks ago: MSRP $35925Selling price 30160We walked in then the sale threw me about $2000 fees ! plus another $ 2000 tax....final price=34000.....so we walked away.....I could have made a deal like 33,500 out of door.
Murano 2010 AWD SL

I put an order for the new '10 Murano AWD SL (prem, leather, tech,DM) after 3 days of shopping around. The real deal they offered is dealer invoice+ 300$ registration, new plates+ sales tax. This is the best I could find after talking with 4 dealers and sending emails to 5 dealerships in a 200 miles area for price quotes, nobody wants to go under dealer invoice because there is a high demand for this car ( quote " I can not sell you this car under dealer invoice because that means that I will have to put money from my own pocket") So it seems that the OTD price with all the taxes, registration etc will be some hundred $ under the listed MSRP. *Another dealerships wanted 500$ on top of dealer invoice (they were saying that they already found the car but they have to pay somebody to go after the car because it was in another dealership 700 miles away) so I said no. *It is not clear for me if some dealerships already have them, because some told me that they found the 2010 that I want but it is some hundred miles away, others told me that this is a lie because the 2010 listed as available on Nissan website are listed over there only because they placed orders and they are waiting for them and nobody has any 2010 in their parking lots yet.*Now I am waiting for the car to be built and shipped

My $1000 cash rebate from Nissan precluded 3.9% financing from Nissan but the lower APR w/o the $1k cash was $5/mo more anyway.- I threw the F&I guy a bone and took the Paintless dent repair for 36 mos for $199 (offered at $444) and the Roadside for 36 mos for $215 (offered for $469 ish). The Roadside includes KEY replacement w/no deductible!!! Limited to one key per year, so that's three keys for $215!!!The car had 35 miles on it, about 31 of which my wife and I put on during an extended (read sans salesperson) test drive. My sales guy was new, this was his first week and we were his first sale, ever! Of course he had an experienced (an fairly nice) manager backing him up. Thanks to every here for all the great info that helped make my purchase so great!-ScottOKC, OKWelcome to the Murano Forum! Glad to have you here. Congrats on the new purchase, I hope you enjoy the new ride!

Roxy- looks like a really good price. If that's an AWD, it's a steal. But from the MSRP listed, I doubt it. According to truecar.com, you're lower than truecost (which is great) on a non-AWD.

Hi All - I've just been quoted the following for a new Murano (I'm actually looking to buy 2 at once, both SL w/360/prem/leather, if that makes a difference). Any thoughts on this pricingThe 2009 Nissan Murano SL w/360 and Premium Package has an MSRP of $34,460. Your preffered Fleet/Internet price is $30,485!*price includes rebate. Does not include tax, title and DMV fees I believe the CA rebate is only $500 now but will need to get that confirmedThanks!

Not sure why the new tires either, but you still can't beat that with a stick. The leather seats don't even have wrinkles in them. Oh, and I got the extended warranty transferred too.

Quote, originally posted by babyhulk I just got a "STEAL"!!06 white murano SL. Brand new tires. No minor defects, etc. 1 owner garage kept. Only 43,300 miles. KBB was about 25,000. I paid 14,108.00!!! I'm so proud of that and absolutely love my new MO. Pics on the way. Not to rain on your parade (so to type) but I'd be suspicious of a Mo that needed new tires at that low mileage. Unless of course, the tires were just worn enough that the seller figured he'd better his resale chances just by putting new ones on. Still, it's the same reason I'm always suspicious of cars that have been professionally detailed before they are resold.I know that at only 43K miles, my Mo could have easily been resold with the original tires.Anyway, good luck with the car.

Sorry, but at that price, I'd give the dealer a finger and walk away.27k miles on an 09 Murano That car has been driven quite darn lot already ...Also since it doesn't have nav and all that jazz, I would expect the price to be much MUCH lower. You can probably get a NEW Murano with the options you want for around 32-33k if you negotiate well.I would recommend go to http://www.autobrag.com -- and search for your vehicle there. That's the site I used to get my Murano. You'll be surprised how much you can haggle Also this is the beginning of the month -- try waiting till the end of the month and you'll save a crap load more.

Quote, originally posted by chevy57 Folks,Anyone have experience negotiating with the Cash for Clunkers program My wife is in love with the Murano and the 93 J30 she has been driving since 96 is just about spent. I went to one dealer yesterday and got a huge song and dance about how hard these cars are to get and they are flying off dealer lots. Anyway the deal I was offered is not very good and searching online there does not seem to be a shortage of vehicles in my area. My wife wants leather so we need to get the PP. The car the dealer closest to me has is optioned with leather, PP and 360 degree. I think the MSRP is 35,915 there is a 500 rebate. They are at 33,995. Is it unreasonable for me to expect to buy this car for a max of 31,000It seems that the dealer wants to use the Cash for Clunkers money instead of negotiating. Silly me was thinking they would do both. Kevin Welcome to the Murano Forum! Glad to have you as a new member of NICOclub! The key here is to find another dealer with a vehicle you are interested in purchasing that you would also be willing to purchase from. See what they can do for you. I think you could get the vehicle down to the $32,000ish range. $31K might be a bit too low. The Murano 360 pkg is pretty hot right now.

I've done that too. Of the 15 or so dealers I emailed (and called if they never responded), I only got 4 to return my inquiries.Don't know what gives, but it seems the dealers are very unwilling to deal. Could this be caused the cash 4 clunkers program If a customer goes in with a $4500 they'd be more than willing to pay sticker Or is it that the Muranos are in short supply now (or so they claim)

Murano 2WD SL Offer

A dealer in Fort Worth Texas offered me a 2WD Murano SL with a Premium Pkg only (along with other junk sucj as mats, splash guards, etc.). They're offering $27700 including the $1500 rebate. They claim this is the lowest they can go. Should I take the bait or can I trim more off of it

Should I be able to get a better money factor or any other type of reductionDoes this sound reasonable Are my numbers close Anyone have a breakout like this to compare toI would really check around with a few dealers. I am not sure where that rate stands. Totally get some more quotes from other area dealers. Good luck!!!

I just purchased my Murano today!!! I know that I purchased it at the wrong time; I wish I would have done this back in March, but it just didn't happen that way.I have had a heck of a time getting a good deal on anything. I used the shot-gun approach and e-mailed 20 dealers in my region. The best I got was $32,886 - no one would budge. Then I got the unfortunate news that NOT ONE Murano existed in this half of the country with the exact colors and specs that I wanted. I did my own homework, and found a typo in the Nissan Inventory system. The reason it wasn't coming up was because Nissan said it was 2WD. It was AWD, but it took me noticing the discrepency between cars.com, nissausa.com, and the dealer's website. I called, and low-and-behold, my car was out there! My husband took today off so we could drive down and get it. I paid more than I wanted, but I know how in-demand that color was. No dealership would give it up in a trade, so I had to do the footwork myself. It was totally worth it, and I couldn't be more pleased that I found my baby!I don't have the paperwork in front of me, but I think this will be close.Murano SL AWD with 360 package (premium, leather, everything but navi)Merlot with beige interior (everything else was charcoal, but I wanted beige!)MSRP $36,375Internet Price $31,783 (included rebate of $1500)Final Price of $33,283I did not take the rebate as it was more advantageous to take the 2.9%APR. Kind of wish I would have paid cash - would have saved me almost $4000! But I want my money in the bank! So, I know many of you got better deals, but I needed a car now and no one was really willing to haggle because of the Murano shortage. Timing is everything! But I still love my girl!!!!
