i like forward to seeing this in its completionon a sidenote have you thought about making the two seperate intake manifolds into one "loaf" so that each side of the engine will have the same relative pressure applied to it since either side isnt identical to the otherim sure it wouldnt be too hard to cut the tubes and weld sheet aluminum to it your welder obviously has the skill to do it(somebody correct me on this if my thinking is wrong with the shared intake manifold for both banks)also wouldnt it give each inlet more air to suck from since the one on the end would have the hardest time pulling air since the 3 in front of it are also pulling... blah bweeoooowwahhhhhhhhhhh and there he goes....

Quote, originally posted by PanzerAce Actually, turbos have everything to do with it, as they are ALWAYS boosting to some degree. Push more power through an engine, and of course it is going to rev quicker. It won't drop revs as quick if you don't lighten the rotating mass, but it'll rev to the moon in a heartbeat if you let it. actually no, boost is positive pressure above atmospheric, with large turbo's it is possible and likely for them not to create boost revving out of gear as there is no load to help them spool. It just didn't sound like it was revving as high as the tacho said it was

I'm with you about how your injectors get placed because of the way you made those collectors. Hey if you look around on the site there is some dude in New Zealand that makes performance cams for the vh.

I am planning this swap for my s13, where did you find internals or are they all stock. If so what boost level are you up to. This looks so much cleaner than the stock intake setup and sits much lower i would imagine. Truly good work man.Hey guys, sorry about the lack of posts, not too much has happened with the car. Difting is expensive and I have no sponsors so building a drift car while maintaining a drift car is hard to do. It is mainly the body work that has to be done now aswell as roll cage.I got the exhaust done, it is straight dual 3' no mufflers or cats. Give her a listen and let me know what you think.http://www.youtube.com/watchv...eddedGhettoslide, I built the intake and exhaust mani's and the intake is much lower then stock. Not only can a close the hood but I can fit a regular 240 strut bar on.

Very awesome, looks like two sr22det engines put together heh. Looking forward to it. I'm sure it'll sound amazing and go amazing, not exactly a handling car with all that size and higher up weight, maybe will go well for a drift car just as how RBs with added weight up front make it understeer then power oversteer into a drift easier... but definetely a monster drag car and just super cool imho. This kind of engine should go into an F40 replica or some other mid engine car heh. Awesome awesome engine...

Ok, ok I know it has been a long time but I have an update! After 3 years my girlfriend has realized that as a car guy, I spend too much time working on cars and she has moved out. Yes this sucks but hey thats life. The good part about it is I have alot more time to work on cars. So thats what I have been doing. This week alone I have modified and bunged the oil pan, built the shifter linkage and bracket, finished welding up the engine mounts, built the altinator bracket, made the rad hoses and started on the rad/fan shroud. The engine could be ready to start theis weekend but i am waiting for the waste gates to come in. ok well on to a few pics ....more to come soon.

That size pipe is not comonly used in Canada and proply never used in the US but I am in the pipe fitting / pipe welding heating buisness so I happen to find the last 10 know elbows in the country and got them for free.
Thanks for the coments guys.I will not be polishing the heads...that would take too long. I am more of a function over form kind of guy but I want this car to be really clean, mainly because it will help get sponsors. I have finaly found a suitable rad and I will be ordering it today which means I am 1 step closer to starting this baby in the car. I still need a good clutch and wastegates.I am hopeing to have all the engine work done by the end of this year.Chris

Man, that idler pulley looks like crap!Just busting your chops. You will have many many hours in just polishing the heads and timing cover. This is definitely a great project. and I applaud your effort. You need to mount those blow-off valves so they stick out of the hood, they are so pretty!

You are my inspiration for my vk45dett (vh internals) s13 project lol... I want to basically run the same exact setup except with smaller t25 turbos. I am even going to position my engine and turbos exactly how you're doing it. I been wanting to do it something like that, but didn't know how it looked until I saw yours.. What size injectors do you have Is it the stock 370cc injectors Is that enough for your setup or are you going to upgrade them to bigger ones
