My 2000 ate some oil and a friend here with an anny edition 01 eats a little more oil. From my 3rd gen 1993 to the 2000 oil consumption was a lot more, but going to the 2k2 its even more drastic. WHAT, no way. The VQ30DEK burns nothing compared to the VQ35DEK. I've got 80k+ and burn maybe 1-2 ounces of oil every 3k miles. But the other day I was showing my roomate the exhaust note from my cattman cat-back exhaust and he noticed smoke puffing out. I had only reved to around 3500 at best. Sure enough when he blipped it i saw the smoke ...Now I find myself not blipping at stop lights because of the hillbillyness of smoke coming from a near stock maxima...any suggestions, information, insite would be helpful.
