Bolt In G50 Air Struts.

Gonna be doing a run of Bolt in G50 Air Struts soon, but i need to know who would be interested in them. The more people i have interested in them, the beter deal i can do. Because ill be doing a mass order of them, building them, and then distributing them.

They will be a 100% bolt on strut, there will be no modification to the strut needed what so ever. Tho you will need to drill a few holes in the strut towers to plum the lines, but the struts WILL be plug and play.

This is the kit i will be using to build them, they are made by Airlift Company.

PSYCH. Meh, I doubt i will ever piece this model together since its all in japanese. I picked it up in March and i thought i lost it but it turned up just recently. Had to barter for it from the hobby shop guy. I went in the shop looking for some new paint for some of my model railroad stuff and i saw a G35 model car so i asked if he has ever seen a Q model. He had one in the back but refused to let it go. I wasn't leaving the store until I had it. I ended up paying 50$ even for it. 20$ more than the sticker, but whatever. These things gotta be somewhat rare. Sorry about the bad pics but i just switched phones and haven't figured the new one out yet. Has zoom but the clarity isn't that great

Test fitted these wheels on my car today and they sit nice so I decided to buy them. I should have tyres (thats how we spell it in Australia) fitted to them by the end of the week and then they go on the car for some pics!

Offsets and fitment on G50 Q45

Hey guys

I want to get some bigger wheels for my Infiniti. I have found a set I like for a very good price, but I want to make sure they will fit alright before I order them.

Now I am not some dumbarse who has no understanding of offset etc, but I just want to know what sort of width's and offsets work with the G50. The wheels in question are 19x8+45 and 19x9+45. This seems a little high but because I have never put good wheels on the car I don't know. I know alot of bigger Toyota's can't fit low offset well, so I thought this might be the case with Q45.

The main thing I want to know is if they will sit fairly flush with the guards and if not, how far in the will be sitting.

And maybe some suggestions of width's and offsets if possible. I am not looking to have wheels sitting out the guards by an inch, I want flush fitment.

So i got this car for around 1k a week or two back, idea is to build a simple, slightly mid (by my standards) car. Not calling it VIP, or VIpstyle. its just what i want to do. if it falls into something, whatever, but im sick of labels.

anyways
it was a stock C34 Laurel when i got it. 4 lug wheels with 5 lug hubcaps.
On the way is a UAS air setup, front wheels, and some other crap.
Ill be using this car to also make a series of How to videos on random stuff.

Anyways, here is my progress so far.
Installed:
Garson mirror
Garson Mink Chain
Garson Cig Lighter
KTS Coilovers
S14 5 lug swap
S14 brakes (i need smaller!)
JVC headunit w bluetooth.

Car is slammed as far as it can go on this aspect ratio of tire. 225/40 on 18x8 +30s isnt a great fit, but whatever. im waiting on tires.

wheels will be 18x9 +0 and 18x10-2ish work Emitz. in the process of refinishing them now

keep in touch for updates. should be weekly or whatever
ill answer questions when i get around to it

Yeah the lighting sucks but i didn't feel like driving, just taking some quick pics.

Car is not done yet but atleast one color. waiting for mollings and rear bumper to get done.

Wife has been driving and only a month after paint has scraped the bumper and my son and some random bastard dinged the doors.

after i installed the full suspension on this car, the owner sold it to one of my other friends... today we got to working on it to make it his own... is background is drifting so.... but to each his own, and damn is it his own... on tuesday im gonna install his adjustable rear toe arms, and set his rear toe to -4.5*. today we rolled and pulled all 4 corners, probably cant even tell it was pulled. hes rocking single digit offsets on this slab... enjoy...

ALright.. here is the deal.. I have a 2003 I35 which is the same as the 2003 Maxima.. what kinda offset do I need to get on my rims to get the VIP style?

I want to get the right offset to bring the rim almost to the edge of the fender.

Here are some updates on whats going on. Test fitting how much of a pull is needed. Looking at about an inch and a half. I wanted to keep the pull as factory looking as possible. As of now I can lower the car all the way down and the rear fenders don't sit on the tires, so I am pretty happy with the results.

Still have lots of work to do, so I will post updates as she gets closer to completion.

Anyone Identify this Y33 Cima Body Kit

Photos were taken near my friends house while I was in Japan back in 2005. I looked at all the VIP links for bodykits but can't come to a solid conclusion. The sticker on the rear quarter window in pic 4 looks like the JP logo when zoomed way in. IMO the kit looks closest to the Junction Produce kit but there are some discrepancies. The side skirts look bigger and wider than on the site. There is also a side marker on the rear bumper, might be an option. Car does have the eyelids on front and rear lights and the upper rear windshield spoiler. Great looking Y33. Any ideas on the fenders?

Adding Camber question.

So I installed my camber ares and installed a adjustable traction arm.Now the first time I did it well the car's rear end kept trying to go sides over bumps and stuff.Went back to school my teacher explained to me why and that it's normal just have to adjust it since it has negative camber.

Today removed them again to lube up the Traction bars and camber arm.I also grinded down some of the traction bar pillow ball housing because it was rubbing and creeked.Anyways I didn't have a stock traction abr to match the settings so I had to guess.Yeah for fun I put negative camber all the way but this time after I guessed at what the traction bar setting was,the camber is more aggressive.I said I'll just drive it so I did.Now the car really wants to get side ways.Is this normal?Or could it be the traction arm making the car wiggle in the back?I'm going back to school at 2pm to set it up on the rack and adjust the arms.I was thinking of removing the traction bar and installing the OEM again.Any idea? Though the Neg Camber looks dope.

I gotta remove camber.My tires are following the grooves.Dammit!!!What does the tractiin bar do?

I have bad rust on my rear quarters (at the fender wells). I had planned on having my body work done along with paint. Just the usual; roll, flare, and pull. My question is: Would it be better to just cut the bad spots out and put in fender flares or have the normal body work done? If so, which flares are recommended/used most often?

Will LED headlights be the next must have in thing? I have an LED flashlight that uses 7 LEDs and is pretty powerful for a flashlight, but I am guessing if a headlight used the same kind of LEDs it would need ten times as many.

well i purchased a q45 a month ago or so .. and it has been sitting in the drive way for a while. i finally sold my E30 (1988 bmw 325is) and i am now using the q45 as my daily driver.

with the cash from the sold car i have inquired some parts ....

-a set of jic coilovers
-18x9 and 18x10 work wheels .. all of them are 0 offset

questions:
-i know i probably need my fenders rolled .. but i am wondering how much of a roll? .. or will the fenders need a pull?

-i was looking to convert the suspension arms to aftermarket so i can get correct geometry and good tire wear... will i be able to use s13 and or s14 arms? tie rod? and which arms from what version (s13 or s14) for which arms? (the jic coilovers are specifically for a Y33)

Well I was able to get my sides and rear painted finally. I also had them remove the corner lights from the front and rear bumpers. It is much cleaner looking now. I traded a website in exchange for the work, otherwise I would have saved the money for a kit in a few years.

Shaved Handles on a VIP

What do you think about shaving the door handles on a VIP project? Is that something that fits the theme? Or the emblems, Antenna, Custom tail lights, things or that nature? I'm definitely sahving the handles on my Q, Then Tieing the Bags, Doors, trunk, gas door, window's, sunroof, alarm, remote start, all of onto 1 remote! (12 of those things at least)
How is that for slick?!?!?

Made to be able to ride extra low, and is reasonably comfortable at the heights you can drive it on. At full raise you have full comfort and still an ok drop from stock height.

The struts were originally put together by Van of Onetonegarage.
This is really a plug and play kit.. everything has been done for you.

What you get:

- Air struts with mounts for G50 Q45. These can probably be used for other cars, just change the mount.

- Complete valves and fittings

- Air lines (you might need some more).

- SMC 300psi water trap

- 5gallon air tank with adjustable pressure switch.

- Manual air controller

- Wire harness and power wire

- Relay

- Firestone compressor with check valve

You'll need to either know how to wire it up already, or find the wiring diagrams. I can help you with that afterward.

I have a 95 Q45 that I'm in the process of fixing-up.

I've purchased 300zx turbo calipers..

I'm looking for some good solid advice on lowering the Q45 with 300ZX
parts.

I've read the VIP and the Q45 forums.... still not clear on what works the best.

Brands KYB,Tokico etc...

I also want to run 350Z disc brake and I was thinking 18" or 19" wheels.

If I could get the Q45 Experts to put there $.02 cents in...

I'd greatly appreciate it.

Want to do something soon, while I have the $$$

i just got an 02 q45(cima) and i want to buy vip parts for it. such as kit/chrome/ and etc....i find alot of y33 parts but no f50. please help. ebay doesnt have much either. anyone know a place i can buy parts online or in socal?
