The A'PEXi Air Flow Converters work by intercepting the signal between the car's air flow meter and the ECU. The Air Flow Meter is the device that tells the ECU how much air is entering the engine so that the ECU can add the correct amount of fuel.

The ECU calculates the proper ratio of fuel to air for a stock, unmodified engine. Certain engine modifications can cause the dynamics of the engine to require more fuel. In this case, there are two common options for modifying the amout of fuel being input into the engine. One can either install larger injectors or increase the fuel pressure to the stock injectors is increased.

Since the stock ECU thinks that it knows how much fuel it is putting into the engine based on the stock injector size and the stock fuel pressure, changing either of these will result in increased fuel. You may get lucky and just pick the perfect injector or fuel pressure that gives you the perfect air/fuel ratio. You may also get lucky and pick this weekends winning lottery numbers. In either case I wouldn't bet the farm on it. The Air Flow Converter gives you the means to adjust the amount of fuel that the ECU injects into the engine by modifying the signal from the air flow meter. This is done a specific RPM levels. This way you can tell the engine that a certain amount more air is flowing into the engine as a specific RPM than is really entering the engine, and the ECU will add that much more fuel. Decrease it at another RPM level and the ECU will decrease the fuel into the engine.

What cars can use the AFC Air Flow Converter?
In general, any Japanese-made car with factory fuel injection and a mass air flow meter. However, these have been adapted to work with many other cars made in Korea, the USA, and Europe. It all boils down to identifying the correct wire into the ECU. In general, the following wires must be identified:

Ground
Power
RPM
Air Flow / Pressure Signal Input
Air Flow / Pressure Signal Output
Fortunately, in many cases these wiring diagrams are available in the A'PEXi Vehicle-Specific Wiring Diagrams. If your car is not found here, you can often do a Google search for your model name and "APEXI SAFC" and find the fruit of someone elses labors lovingly presented in an online forum.

The story:
I am hoping to sell this battery, I picked it up thinking my battery was to blame for poor starting and intermittent starter operation. I figured ditch my two year old vip premium battery for this smaller unit. Well turned out that it is in fact my starter motor not the battery at all. Therefore I have a perfeclty fine large battery and this 23lb battery, which I would be more then happy to keep, however I really don't need to spend the money on this thing if I don't have to.

That said. This battery is great, its very small, but will fit the oem battary tray. I have owned this battery for literally one week and it has been installed on my vehicle for that time. It is in perfect condition, and was charged for the first time per the instructions by a voltage regulated trickle charger, it held 12.8volts for one full day after charging sitting in my living room.

I would really like to not loose to much money on this seeing as how I JUST bought it.

I am hoping to get $120 + shipping for this battery, and I am unable to find it cheaper then $135 plus $20 shipping (minimum), so that would make it $155. I hope this sounds like as good of a deal as it would have been to me.

BRAND NEW, STILL IN THE BOX Apexi AVC-R Electronic Boost Controller. No other boost controller on the market has as many options as this one. I particularly like the "boost by gear" function, where you can control boost output for each gear. Good for autox/grip guys who dont want massive boost in lower gears so that you can put power down without worrying about losing traction.

The AVC-R is a digital boost controller that allows the user to modify the boost pressure level on turbocharged vehicles. While there are many boost controllers on the market, none of the other includes as many features as the AVC-R, period. Despite all of the complex features included the unit, the AVC-R is flexible enough to be used by beginners. Entry level users need only to input a desired boost level and the AVC-R's trademark self learning CPU processor does the rest.The AVC-R also uses a highly durable, fast action solenoid valve to physically control the boost . The valve movement (Boost Duty Cycle) can also be modified. Raising the duty cycle increases boost response, while lowering the duty cycle will slow boost response. This feature allows boost response adjustment for varying turbo sizes. Since larger turbos take longer to spool up ( bad low end response) the duty cycle should be raised under lower RPM's for better response. The opposite should be done for smaller turbo's ( excellent low - mid range)
