Radioator Question

I was checking my fluid level this morning and I happen to notice that the radiator unit has some give or play to it....if I push down or forward on the radiator where the cap is it gives a little, like a bounce.

I noticed that where the radiator gets screwed on its mount its rubberized type bushings with no screw to tighten, seems like its purposely like that so it can have that give.

Can someone confirm if their radiator has that same give to it if you push on it.

CVT/Engine Vibration! Its GONE!

Just wanted to update members about the 'vibration issue' caused by the low engine rev's (around 1200 RPM) when travelling 40-50 km/h. I first noticed it on day 2 of ownership and posted a few times back then.

Now at 40,000 km, after my last oil change, its absolutely gone! It seems to have been steadily reducing over the past 10,000 km or so to the point where I can't even feel it if I try really hard.

Hi you all, I hope someone maybe able to help me a bit with this.

I am going to have HID light installed on my Rogue(2009). I have seen couple of pics about it, and I have got the idea how to do so. However, the next question come out is how can I start? What I am really asking is if I could get the job done without remove the front bumper? It may take hours to do so and I am not even sure if I am actually able to remove it myself.

So if anyone have the answer, please give me a hand. Thanks alot!!!

At first I thought it looks longer and was worried it might not fit. But after I brought to my car and compare the sizes I finally take a breath. The color match to my car just like I have ordered. The parts apparently are from China (instruction manuals are in Chinese) and have detailed diagrams showing steps by steps. It will take sometime before I can put it on my car because I am still waiting for my second order which is the motor part which enables the mirrors to fold in by either the switch or automatically. I'll have it update once I received it. Stay tuned.....

Rogue CVT compression braking

I recently purchase an 09 Rogue S AWD. I was quite surprised to see that the CVT transmission is set up to very aggressively use compression or engine braking whenever the vehicle descends even a modest hill. Any time you take your foot off the gas and the vehicle continues to accelerate (example: going downhill) the CVT transmission attempts to slow the car by using the engine as a brake. I've had the revs jump from 1500rpms to as much as 3500rpm as the transmission tries to slow the car. Not only is it aggravating but it makes the car much louder than necessary and I'm sure that it negatively impacts fuel economy. Why wouldn't you let the car coast down a hill? No other automatic transmission that I have ever driven was designed to employ compression braking as experienced in the Rogue. Can anyone tell me what Nissan's logic might be behind this decision?

Ok guys, own a Rogue, 1 1/2 yrs old, 28K miles and am having my 4th tranny put in next week. 3rd one was put in 4K miles ago....

To say I am truly upset is an understatement. I called Nissan Corporate and opened a case about the ongoing problems I have had, transmission, hoses loosening, steering noises etc etc.

It kills me cause the shop admits that there have been ongoing problems with the tranny on the Rogues but supposedly it had been fixes with all new 09 trannys.....guess not

Can't claim lemon law but I guess we'll see if Nissan offers anything..

Anybody on their 4th tranny yet?

Door Handle Sealing Recall

So I stopped by the dealership today to pick up some crush washers (they now charge $1.25 ea. ) - but thought I'd also ask about any recalls on my vehicle.

To my surprise, no Airbag or TPMS recalls on my vehicle, the steering gear housing cover is there but what struck me was that the Service Manager said there was a 'door handle sealing' recall. something about improving the sealing to prevent moisture or salts into the door handle housing.

I haven't seen anyone else mention this here. What's up with that?

I have a awd 2009 Rogue with 8000 miles and the transmission started making a noise yesterday. The noise is a grinding sound mostly when the car is slowing down. I took it to Nissan yesterday and today they told me I need a new transmission and it will take over a week. My local Nissan did not know of any problems with the CVT and they had no idea that Nissan had extended the warranty to 10 years 120,000. I have a loaner for now.

Here is my story over the weekend out of nowhere when i was done shopping at sam's club I started my car and it suddenly felt like the car was grinding or rubbing against something when i droved it. It made a slight screeching noise thinking it was the brake pads wearing off i decided to just ignore it and drive home.

I would say 10 miles down the road i heard a slight pop noise and then approached a red light and stopped. The light turned green and suddenly to my surprise my car wouldn't move at all, the car would just rev in place. I thought my car stalled or something. Eventually somehow the car started to move again and stopped moving altogether again.

Eventually i finally got a safe area and manage to get AAA to tow my car back, the tower said your car was leaking engine fluid because it looks like fresh engine fluid right there. And he asked if i got an oil change recently, which i did at a nissan dealership so i assumed they must have messed up on my oil change. No lights came on during this whole time.

Eventually i called the dealership yesterday and told them the story and told them that engine oil was leaking out of it. It got towed and then the dealership called me back after examining it and said the CVT transmission blew or some sort and they would need to order a transmission from nissan and it should be fixed by friday.

Then I asked for a loaner and the dealership said Nissan will cover for the loaner and also cover for the towtruck.

To my surprise Nissan's warranty on CVT transmission is 10 years or 120,000 miles.

Anyway just wondering if anyone else experienced this yet?

Nissan recalls

Just received Nissan notice of 2 recalls on my 2009 Rogue. One deals with the steering gear housing screw. The other deals with the nut that secures the Tire Pressure monitoring system sensor. Does anyone have comments. My issue is these are recalls early in the current model year and how can they not have known from prior model year. Thanks

Nissan customer service, in consultation with their engineering department told me that the steering wheel vibration in my 2008 Rogue, which occurs between 20-340 miles per hour, is normal. However, they are trying to determine how to stop it since it is bothersome to some drivers. This is what two different Nissan dealers told me.

I have bought an aftermarket spoiler from eBay and decided to do-it-myself since my dealer doesn't offer non-genuine Nissan part service. I have gather most information pretty much to believe myself I will do a good job on installing the spoiler. I have got everything except the bolt install question. I will try to post the photo of my spoiler with screw tomorrow after work to make things more clear of what I meant.

Basically I follow the guideline from this link:

The part I dont get is how do I screw in both 4 nuts and bolts? I can't picture to put the flange hex nuts from inside the spoiler out toward the trim panel so I can screw the nuts on it (figure 13 & 14). Same with reverse on both outter holes, can someone help me out please? Thanks!

Is anyone else sick of looking at the HUGE "1 Sexy Stomach Rule.." advertisement on the right of this page???!!!!

I am, it's literally making me sick to repeatedly have to look at that person grabbing the big old 10-lb handful of stomach fat, and it's been there for at least a month.

Come on NicoClub, this is a site for car enthusists, why can't we keep the ads restricted to cars, car part distributors and anything related to vehicles and keep the non-related and disgusting fat ads out!!!! If I have to look at this ad for much longer, I'm going to stop coming to this site.

Anybody else agree with me? Get rid of that crap or at the very least shrink it down so it doesn't slap you in the face every time you visit this site, and for god's sake move the NicoClub sponsors ads to the top!!! If I were a NicoClub sponsor I'd be pissed to have my ad suck way at the bottom under a butt-load of body fat!! I was annoyed with the Chevy Traverse ads on this Nissan site a while back, but the fat ads are soooo much worse!!!!!!!

New 2010 Rogue SL AWD

Picking up our new Rogue this afternoon, really anxious. It will be nice to have the cargo space. We've had a G35S sedan for the past couple of years, a great car, fun to drive, lots of power but, so limited for cargo space. I think we'll enjoy having more space, higher fuel efficiency; all round more practical vehicle.

Backup lights

Does anyone else find the backup lights on the Rogue to be a bit dim? I've had my 09 since July and since it has been getting progressively darker in the mornings when I leave for work, it has been harder to see IMO, when backing out of the driveway. (yes my eyesight hasn't changed). Does anybody know if you could put a brighter bulb in the backup lights with out harming the lens. I don't think there is any good place to add another type light back there with out making it look tacky? Would a backup camera with the existing backup lights work when it is dark? Also have to pull in to the driveway can't back in - don't ask - too long of an explaination.

TPMS mandatory install on winter tires

I'm getting new winter tires installed on my Rogue this week, and my dealership is trying to tell me that I HAVE to get the TPMS installed on the winter tires at an extra cost of $300.
From what I understand and read it is NOT mandatory. In my opinion they're just looking for extra money. Anybody else have their dealership try to tell them it's mandatory to have it installed?

I just got steel rims with new winter tires installed yesterday, which do not contain TPS sensors.

The TPS warning light should be coming on but isn't. Anyone have an idea why? I'm concerned that they may not have even been working when I bought the vehicle this past September.

Price of OEM SL wheels

So, I thought I'd share this random bit of trivia with you all...
$614 PER WHEEL for replacement 17" SL wheels... LOL.

See, the tire shop I take my car to for getting the summer/winter tires swapped out scratched up my wheels some with their machine. It honestly wasn't enough to bother me, but I figured I'd show them and maybe get my next changeover for free or something. But they said they'd replace my wheels for me. So I thought, "Ok, cool, new is always good...I wonder if I can get them to buy me aftermarket wheels instead of OEM wheels...probably cheaper since the OEM's are probably like $225/wheel or something..."
And that's when I called up the dealership...
I could not stop laughing when they told me the price, haha.
So, it looks like I may be getting my choice of wheels for free! I'm just waiting to hear back from the shop to see if that's an option.

rogue engine chokes

this morning it was 6*C outside and I went to go pick someone up, the rogue was fully warmed and when i pulled into the driveway while applying the brakes
the engine starts to "sputter" and choke..i put it into Park and it seemed like it was about to stall, i gave it a slight rev and it still was "choking" so i put it into drive and drove a few feet and it stopped...hasn't done it since (and have gotten at least 20km on it afterwards) before this i stopped at a few traffic lights as well and it was perfectly normal

maybe it had something to do with the oil change i had done yesterday(got it done at the dealership)i checked the oil level and it is fine, no signs of leaks either

Does anyone know if there is a NON bose 6 disc player for the Rogue.

I am looking to add XM sat. radio to my 2008 rogue (do not want to buy an aftermarket unit). I only have the single disc player, which to my knowledge does not have the XM inputs on the back.

The Bose unit would work but I believe it requires an external amp, which I don't have with my single disc.

So is there such a thing as a non-bose 6 disc for the rogue that has an internal amp?

Rear brake rotors after 25,000 miles

I've had my Rogue since November 2008 and need to have rear brake rotors cut and rear pads replaced. Car has been shaking at 60 mph and pulsating/shaking when brakes applied. I had front end aligned and replaced tires. Still shakes and pulsates so now need brakes/rotors.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Site lagging

Anyone having lagging issues with the Rogue forum page loading. I can log in ok and the pages will load, then it stalls for 15-20 seconds- waiting on all the flashing/ and moving sections, then it loads and no other problems until I click on something and the page has to load again, same scenario. I'm on 54 Mbps connection.

I thought I show you a picture of all these items together, since I always was interested in these items at one time or another but found it rather difficult to find pictures online. Eventually I did. Thanks to all here who have inspired me. All these mods cost me around $350 all together. Not that bad. Included is my home depot mod for the grill to help protect the exposed radiator. Its $10 brown gutter protector but I reversed it so you can see the mesh side. Actually had a bird hit my grill area today. It has stop small rocks and insects from what I can tell. Last picture is closeup of hood protector.

I seem to only visit this forum when I need something, but you guys always help me out, so here I am.

Here's my problem. We have a 2008 Rogue and are expecting a baby in February 2010. We registered for and received a Graco Snugride 32. Now after reading a few reviews in this forum, I discover that installing this seat will make my front passenger seat completely unusable. *FAIL*

I'm just looking for your best car seat recommendations that you have actually used/installed in your Rogue. It can be an infant seat, or a convertible seat.

TPMS Reset/Activate

I just put on my winter tires that came installed with new TPMS sensors (the original ones that were installed with the vehicle are on the summer wheels) --my question is: can I activate the sensors so that the tire sensor alert light will go off or is this something I have to let the dealership do? I would rather save money doing it myself, but I'm not sure if it requires the computer system to do it or what?

Nissan Adds 10-Year CVT Warranty to ALL Existing Vehicles 2003 and Older

I have confirmation from the dealer (Sherwood Nissan near Edmonton Alberta are AWESOME), I quote:

"I just finished talking to the service manager here and he has informed me that Nissan has extended the warranty on all CVT�s to a 10yr 200,000km warranty. As far as vehicles made in 2011- he is not sure what they are going to provide as a warranty, as they have not mentioned anything about this."

This is GREAT news, probably the biggest news I've heard since buying this vehicle. Now we can stop whining about whether or not the CVT will be reliable over the long term, Nissan has apparently grown tired of this mis-concpetion as well, and put their money where their mouth is. This proves their confidence in the CVT, and also proves they value their customers. This is also a good business move, because I'm sure they'll win back some angry customers, namely 2003 Murano owners with failed CVT's just out of the regular warranty period. But I still can't find an official announcement online.

This is also great for re-sale value, if I were to sell before the 10 year mark I'd definately be pointing out the extended warranty as a big value added item. I'm glad I didn't pay money for the extended warranty now that I got one for free!! Thanks Nissan, I'm back on board as a fan again!!

Fog Light Mod- How to run Fog lights without headlights

I really want to be able to run my fog lights either by themselves or with at least the parking lights but not headlights only. I looked at the fuse box and see relays near the fog light fuse but not sure which relay belongs to the fogs. I was wondering if any one has tried to do this or knows more about the wiring to accomplish this task.

As the proud owner of a two week old Rogue, i have generally been very happy with the car, however i'm more than a little concerned with the response of the accelleration.

Living in central PA we have our fair share of hills, and even on some of the mildest ones i feel like breathing a sigh of relief upon reaching the top.

This, together with the feeling of uncertainty in the cvt as to what level of gearing should be adopted lead me to contact my local dealer.

Their reply was that these sensations are normal for this vehicle, and "the car will not run correctly until its done at least 3500 miles, and more likely 5000 miles"

I have read a few of the "cvt" posts on this site, but wonder if someone has some feedback as to whether this 2.5 engine will ever behave better than a substantialy smaller one?

Wheel Alignment

I recently changed over to winter tires on new 16" rims (stepping down from 17"). The dealer persuaded me to do a wheel alignment, and gave me a print out of the settings before and after. The changes were small. Now I am wondering if the work was necessary. Does anyone know what the recommended settings and tolerances are for 2009 Rogue AWD SL?

Nissan extended warranty for CVT

I was just at the Nissan dealer today for an oil change and to notify them of an oil comsumption problem (1/2 Qt in approx 2K miles) and I was surprised by two things.
First, they had NO idea of the two active recalls for TPMS nuts and steering screw issues. When I asked forcefully, the advisor printed a "Service Comm" three page document I guess from Nissan records with all my pertinent info: VIN, in-servide date, Gold preferred agreement, etc. One section was for recall campaings, which showed NONE. But the part that caught me off-guard was the page that showed applicable warranties. It listed all the warranties and expiration date/miles: Basic, Powertrain, seat belts, emissions, etc. and it also listed CVT warranty extension thru 2018 and 120K miles!
Is anybody aware of this extension? And, is this Nissan' response to the noise issues on 2008/2009 AWD like mine?

I had a 2001 Honda Odyssey in which Honda also extended the warranty on the transmisson due to early failures. I wonder if it is the same here?

Thoughts on Rogue Mirrors

Thought I would bring this topic up about rogue's mirror since someone has mentioned about heated mirror on another post. Although its not about heated part, but rather it's about the features/function that Nissan should have added to Rogue where you would seen it on high-end SUV/sedans. Instead of explaining in word I have posts various photos just to show you guys what I meant. Keep in mind that some functions/parts are already in exist as aftermarket and some are still at the stage of developing. And the post has lots photos that I first gathered to make up this post, so they dont belong to me. The reason I brought it up is because alot of functions are primary for safety precaution and secondary, such features automatically increase your rogue's value. Anyway, here are the lists:

Side Mirror with LED on outer case:

Motorized-swivel switch control Mirror, now this one needs more explaination on what it does, basically this function has 2 parts

1) mirror motor which controls the swings of the outer case, which looks something familiar to this
2) a control box which controls the movement of the mirror itself

In order to get #2 to work, you need #1 installed first

To see those in action:
1)when parking, gear shift to 'R' position both side mirrors face downwards so you can see the tires. Both mirrors back to normal position after shift to 'P' position

2)after parked the car, pressing the 'lock bottom' on the key and both side mirrors swings inward.

After the car is parked and press the 'lock' key, the side mirror flips in

I think those are the most common you would seen on high-ends cars, another function of what side mirror could do on very latest cars has something like this which to eliminates blind spot

but I think its redundant if your car has the above, who need such high-tech gadgets where you could just rely solely on eyes and mirrors

I want to check here before calling my dealer. Last week, we go a bit lower temperature, like -1 celcius, far from what we got during winter. Since that, my trunk stop opening at the middle. I have to push my trunk to fully open it.

If this append at -1, issh at -30, my trunk won't open at all!!!

It is normal?

New Transmission Question

I just got my Rogue back Friday after the new transmission was installed. I might be delusional, but it seems like it is running at higher RPM's than it was. I don't know if this is normal or if this is the way it was and I'm just imagining it. I've always tried to use a light foot upon accelleration to keep the gas mileage high (which I've been averaging about 27.5 mpg this summer), but now even doing that, the RPM's seem to be higher. I was on the highway this afternoon, and doing 70 mph on cruise on level pavement, it stayed at around 22-2300 RPM's. It seemed like before it was always under 2000 RPM at this speed, but it's almost been a month since I've driven it so maybe I'm mistaken. I know lower RPM's helps with gas mileage so I want to be sure nothing is wrong. I've got to call the dealer tomorrow because for some reason my driver window won't go up all the way with one touch so not sure what happened there. I thought I would ask here to see what others thought or have experienced. Thanks!

Hi,

I had my winter tires (which are on steel rims) installed at my local dealer two days ago. Now, every time I start it, the low tire pressure dash light flashes for a while and then stays solid yellow. Is this "normal" since I don't have the OEM rims on? Should I take it back to the dealer?

I have installed my newly bought license plate camera on my rogue. Here are some detailed pictures of the product. The License plate frame has a small thin wire to piggy-back with an extension cable carrying both video and power which piggy-backs and split to regular RCA cable and +/- power:

It is ultra-slim and very discreet. It uses CCD which is superior to CMOS. The price is about $150 on Amazon.com. Other cheap cameras can be had for $50 but they are bulky and I don't think they provide wide angle view and good low-light performance. This camera rocks! It has 150 degree horizontal view and very good low-light performance at night.

Here are some pictures from my install and short descriptions:

Routing the feed involves partially removing the back panel. Start with popping out the top panel where the single brake lamp is located. Then drop the feed on either sides to route the wire to the tiny access window and then piggy back to the connector from the license plate. This may involve slightly popping out one of the side panels (not necessarily removing all the way)

Partially pop out one of the side panels below your rear side window. Again, just slightly make an opening should be enough to route your wires to the rubber weather stripping and then to the door edge panels.

Find your reverse wire from the driver door edge panel. It is green with gray dots. There may be at least two of them so just keep on tapping until your voltmeter responds to +12V when you shift to reverse. (Thanks to Leo2005, silverboy pics and others for assuring me it is the green wire.)

Hope this helps. I highly recommend this ultra-slim license plate camera. There is no drilling involve and minimal cutting of wires. I tap the camera power to my stereo ACC so it will stay on when the key is in ACC or On. The reverse wire is wired to my Kenwood's reverse trigger so it will show the rear view display on reverse.

2009 Rogue SL AWD Muffler

The muffler on our 2009 SL AWD Rogue is bare while every other Rogue we have seen on the road has a black coating on the muffler. Mine also has a brownish rust colour on the stainless steel, which was there almost from day 1. I asked the service manager about the black coating and he said that the black coating was due to under coating they had done ans that it causes an odor and I am lucky that I don't have it. I know someone who has a 2009 Rogue with the coating and he doesn't have any odor from the coating. I intially beleived service manager but I have yet to see a new Rogue without the black coating so I thought I would ask here.

Rogue Brakes Question

So, I'm about to enter my first winter with the Rogue.

Today was really cold and damp, ugly !!! Rainy and like 2 degrees

For the first time since I got the car in April my brakes squeeled loudly for the first three stops this morning, after that back to normal, no more squeeling and quiet.

Obviously, I attribute this to the awful weather today, coldness combined with moisture/rain on metalic brakes.

So, my question is the following.

Are these brakes always gonna squeel the first couple of stops in winter cold weather....or was today just a really bad combination of cold and wet and it just reacted that way.

I'm hoping that if its just cold they won't squeel, am I right in thinking this?

When do we need to change coolant, transmission fluid, and brake fluid

Hi there,

I got my Rogue when it first came out in late 2007. It's still in great shape and I've been following the regular maintenance schedule from the dealer.

They recently said that I'd have to change the coolant and brake fluid soon which will cost around 120 and 100 respectively. I have around 68000 km on it.

Does anyone know how often these should get changed and while I'm at it, what about the transmission fluid? I'll do it if I need to but I just don't want to get ripped off. I've heard some cars going 100000 km before needing to change the coolant.

Removing the standard rear view mirror

I just got the homelink rear view mirror and trying to figure out how to remove the old one, I found this don't know if this comment is the same for the rogue, thanks.

Here's another possibility: I just finished wrestling with removing the button from a Nissan Xterra rearview mirror. It has the wedge style button (beveled edges), rather than the channel style. At the bottom of the button I could see a small tab of spring steel. No matter what I did to the tab it wouldn't release the button. Finally, I took an old hack saw blade (you could probably use anything long and flat like that) and slid it in between the tab and the button from the bottom. Once you get in about .75" you'll bump up against the spring tab holding the button in. Push further against the spring with your hack saw blade and at the same time pull the mirror off the button. That's it! Once you get it off you see how simply it was being held on. Hope this saves someone else the time I wasted on this...

Reverse Light Wire

I just bought a back up camera and i am stuck finding the reverse light. From what i read it is the green with gray dot. I removed the driver side kick plates and tap into the green with gray dot wire but it didn't work.

There is one solid green with thicker gauge, i don't think it is the right one either and i am afraid to use my T-tap rated 16-18 AWG on this thicker wire. I am on a dead end. Any help would be appreciated.

Aftermarket Backup camera installation for 2010 Rogue

Hi All,
My friend just bought a 2010 Nissan Rogue SL without the 360 package. She currently has some issue with backing up because she can't see very well. So I've help to do some research. So far, I've found that there are 2 ways to improved: 1) backup sensor which requires drilling in the bumper because it doesn't have the holes already, 2) wireless backup rear view camera (like this one http://4ucam.com/Wireless-Back....html).
Does anyone have any experience with this 4ucam? If you do, where is the best place to put the LCD (currently, I am thinking to put right below the temperature control) and how to best connect to the power supply to turn on only during backup? TIA!

Why is it a struggle to get honesty and good service

Dealer chumped me into a $100 service discount book with lifetime Saturday car washes...went in for the first one over the weekend, they returned my car scratched and dirty, said they would buff it out Monday....Monday took 7hrs for an oil change and buffing out the scratches...car was returned with a door ding that looks like a broom fell on it or something high up on the door...they insist they didn't do it....Obviously I will no longer go to that dealer for service...although I'm not too sure how I'm going to get them to pay for it.....The bigger problem is why am I not surprised?...Too many dealerships get away with poor service....I expect the next dealer I go to for service won't be my last.

draining engine coolant

Just wondering if anyone has drained their rogue engine of coolant? I am planning on soon installing an engine block heater, similar to the one standard on the Canadian version, and to do so it is necessary to drain the coolant. Does anyone has any tips on the process? I saw the directions in the service manual, seems pretty straight-forward. One question that i had was will I need to open the water drain plugs on the back of the engine?

Any reason not to reuse the coolant that i drain out? I've got less than 4k miles on it. Will be doing this at the same time as I do my first scheduled maintenance.

The whole job of draining, installing heater, and refilling looks pretty simple; however, it will be a bit difficult just based on how confined the spaces around the engine are.

Is it just my Rogue or is it that birds love Rogue more than any other car ?

Every evening on my way back home, I spend ten extra minutes doing the cleaning of my otherwise shining Rogue.

My wife says its natures revenge for not doing enough diapers change .

Jokes apart...how do you manage birds droppings? Is there anything we can do so that those shining (?) spots do not become permanent marks? Any coatings? Any Ultrasound whistle?

Please dont get me wrong here. I love birds. I just dont like what they do on my car... that too without asking me....

The 2009 Nissan Rogue Owner's Manual states a "key number plate" is supplied with the keys (including vehicles equipped with the intelligent key). See pg. 3-2. The manual advises that the key number should be recorded and kept in a safe place. In the event the keys to the vehicle are lost, a Nissan dealer will be able to duplicate the key using the key number. The manual states that Nissan does not record any key numbers so it is very important to keep track of this number.

A key number is only necessary when you have lost all keys and do not have one to duplicate from. If you still have a key, this key can be duplicated by a Nissan dealer.

Did you receive a "key number plate" from the dealership when you purchased your Nissan Rogue?

Maintenance Schedule

I have a 2009 Rogue with 4,000 km on it which is only 6 months old. Nissan Maintenance Schedule shows 12,000 km at 6 months, consisting of Air Filter, Checking Fluid levels, Cables and Hoses, Drive Belts, Exhaust, Power Steering, Suspension, Oil Change, Drive Belts etc. Cost $119.95. I intend to get Oil Change but I wont have 12,000 kms on Rogue until Early Spring. At this time is it necessary to have all this work done now or can I want until later without jeopardizing warranty? Rattling front passenger door speaker

While I was driving today I noticed a rattling noise coming from passenger side. This only occurs when I hit a bump or driving on rough roads. It sounds like plastic hitting on plastic.

At first I thought it was coming from the glove box so I took everything out and had my girlfriend hold the door shut but the sound continued.

Later we pin pointed where the sound was coming from and found that it was the speaker area on the passenger side door. It seems as if the speaker is loose and banging around inside.

Has anyone has this problem before? If so, what did you do to fix it?
