I found another piece of burl slab in the rafters, left over from my days in the last millenium spent wandering around northern California. I've got my share of burl clocks and tables so I made another batch of center console cupholders. Many evenings were spent this summer in my shop (always 77 degrees) putting these together for us poor owners with no cupholders in our Q's.

I made 7 cupholders, six are from the same piece of walnut slab and the 7th is from a nice piece of redwood burl. All are approximately 4" x 6" x 2.5" and have a 3" hole through the middle. I've bonded a 1/8" thick sheet of lead to the bottom for balance, covered the lead in a non-skid rubber/foam pad, and sealed the edges with black RTV so no one can get lead poisoning licking the wood. Each piece weighs about 2.5 lbs. and it won't tip.

The wood is sealed with many coats of clear polyurethane and the finish is very durable. The finish isn't perfect but it looks darn nice. No tools are required for installation. It lays in the center console nicely and if you need the room it can be stored on the floor in the back seat when not in use.

I have about 3 hours into each of the cupholders and shipping ($6-$10) is included so my price is firm. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and would make a unique and cheap Christmas gift from a spouse, son, daughter, girlfriend...to you. Give them a copy of this post and have them contact me.

The few pictures below show the set and a couple of close ups. The unfinished piece in the first pic is the world's first Q45 cupholder I inherited with the car/original owner and was my inspiration for the rest.

FS: New TPS(Throttle Postiion Sensor) & Idle control valve/motor for 01 QX4

I have a new TPS and Idle control valve for a 2001 QX4. I (the home mechanic) installed these parts for one day, only to find that they did not correct a problem I was having with hesitation. A trip to the Dealer the next day revealed a diagnosis that the entire throttle body needed to be replaced. After swallowing hard at the price, the throttle body was installed, and gone was the hesitation. Dealer advised that the TPS and Idle control assemblies were good, but that the new Dealer installed throttle body came with a new TPS and Idle valve as a unit, and that is the only way they would install the part. I am attempting to recover some of my initial investment in these parts. I paid $103 for the TPS and $369 for the Idle valve. Make an offer - highest accepted. The 01 has a 3.5 VQ35DE engine. This is the perfect setup for any 90-93 Q owner, the NICO ECU and 94 TCU is the best setup you can get.. The 94 TCU will cause the transmission to shift at the higher redline, something 93 TCU will not do... IN short, for a 90-93 owner this is the ideal setup.

I sold my 2003 M45 at the beginning of the year and am trying to clean out my garage. I have two spare parts leftover from a project I did.

1. Cupholder w/ fold down lid (dark ash wood trim)

2. Ashtray assembly (dark ash wood trim) w/ cigarette lighter etc.

Both pieces are in 'new' condition. I'm sure these go for $$hundreds from the dealer and I know they're rare parts.

Ive decided to supercharge my vh45de so im selling my assembled heads with cams, the heads were decked, given a 5 angle valve job, hand blended bowls.

The cams are regrinds and were done by franklin cams in australia well over 1200 in the cams alone (to my knowledge this is the only set of vh45de cams in the entire usa), plus the custom super tech valve springs and custom supertech titanium retainers. They where assembled by m2 race engines, well over 2500 went in to these heads, and dynoed 38whp untuned thru an automatic, it is safe to say that with a tune you could get an increase of 50whp and have powerband deep into 7500-8000rpm.

I have an engine i bought for a project car a few months ago. It has 87k miles on it. IT is clean looking. I will get some photos today. We decided to look at the old motor after i won this one on ebay and well the old motor had guides done but the tensioner failed. I only had to buy a tensioner, some gaskets, and two valves. So instead of destroying this engine for parts, I will fix the old one. THe only thing that looks damaged is the distributor plastic cover. the cam sensors are fine. Looks like a shipping incident not a yard incident. I am located in central Pa. Approx 1.5 hours from DC and 2 from Philly. $650.00 obo for the engine.

This setup was removed from my 93 q45. Springs and shocks have about 5k miles on them. I also replaced the factory dust shields and rubber spring seats. Ready to bolt on! Hands down the best upgrade for a g50 q45, great handling and sporty stance. I believe the front springs lower 1.0 inches and the rear is .08 inches. I have around $800 invested in this setup, I'm asking alot less, so reasonable offers will be considered. Will e-mail photos upon request.

All of the parts are good, other than the block, of course, and i'll be willing to sell any part/accesory from the car (radio, engine parts, antenna, tranny, etc..) minus the body, wheels, tires, brakes/ brake system etc.. pretty much anything i won't need for the car to still be driveable with a new engine, and i'll sell it at a much lower price than a dealer, parts store, or possibly salvage (if you manage to even find one at a salvage)
