anyone on the forum running bride seats and if so how is the fabric holding up, im toying around with the idea of selling the sunfire and picking up a 240 to do a S14.5 conversion and ive been looking at bride. wanna know if the material holds up well over time. my corbeaus material started wearing thin after a couple years of daily driving, and that will be a bit hard to swallow if i have to replace the material on the brides that will be costing me 3x what i paid for my corbeaus.

'08 350z coupe - center brake light panel removal

Hi Group:Anyone know how to remove the panel with the center brake light in an '08 350Z coupe It appears to just snap into place, as there are no external fasteners, but I don't want to damage it during removal. Here's why I need to pull it off:http://www.normcoinc.com/I've got these installed on the center brake lights on my 4 other cars, and it's really a great product. I bought the first few from eBay, but now it looks like they're only available through amazon.com. So, any ideas on how to pull that panel It looks like the easiest way to access the wires. Thanks in advance.Deanalfamale92@gmail.com

I dont know whether this belongs in this forum or the detailing one, but here is the best leather cleaner ever.My QX4 was previously owned by my mom and she always put the dog on the beige leather. Over time the beige leather turned brown, and I tried every leather cleaner out there to get it back to normal condition. I was looking at foot locker one day and saw their leather cleaner. The stuff works miracles. It got out every stain and the leather looks brand new. Pick it up. http://www.footlocker.com.au/M...p.jpg

Stain removal!!

I just bought a set of Miata seats for my 67 Datsun Roadster and i can't seem to get this one last stain out. I have tried Spot shot, Bissell carpet and upholstery cleaner, a steam cleaner and even good old dish soap and water! Does anyone know of something I can use on this stubborn stain. Before you ask I have no idea what made the stain! I picked these up out of a junk yard so I'm guessing oil or grease.

I picked up a MOMO Start 2007 seat from another member on a local forum. He had them bolted into the floor of his auto-x crx. I would like to know what rails would work to get them to fit into an S13. They are sidemount. Here is the only picture i have of it...Anyhelp is appreciated guys! I can make my own rails for it, but I would like to try to buy some rails for it before I have to resort to making my own. Thanks!

I'm getting tired of black suede and I'm thinking of wrapping my door panels, center console, glove box, headliner and doing my shift boot in a light cream colored suede but I'm not sure how it will look.So I wanna see some pictures of s13's with white or cream colored interior!!The only thing I think would throw it off is the fact that my car is maroon..... Oh, and I don't want to see any of this:

Tip for repairing an s-13 radio trim plate.

My trim plate had a huge crack /large chip on the center bar that separates the radio from the a/c controls. Luckily I found a used trim plate in a junkyard that was broken all across the bottom but had the center bar intact. I cut the bad section out of mine and the good section of the other plate on the ends. Then I took a craft stick(just wooden flat sticks like popsickle sticks that I got at Walmart) and epoxied one of those to my trim plate(expoxy on both ends of broken area so the stick spanned the section). Then I epoxied the good section from the junkyard trim plate to the stick. This gave extra support to that area and really doesn't interfere with how the plate fits. After a little bondo ,filler and paint I can't tell there ever was a crack.Using Duplicolor filler/primer really helped. It's sandable and really helped fill minor imperfections in the surface.

Also what should I expect to find as to brittleness of the various plastic parts, i.e. should I expect to see some breakage of pawls and clipsThanks.

Ok so ive noticed that whenever im in a newer car, since newer cars have better sound deadening, it just feels more solid compared to a sub 2000 car, and you dont feel every imperfection in the road, and is a much smoother and quieter ride, and as a daily, thats very nice to havenow dynamat can get expensive, so i did a little research on DIY sound deadening and i found thishttp://www.youtube.com/watchv=u7eIF4cgFx4im probably gonna try that underneath the back seats and in the trunk, possibly the door panelsanybody else have any ideas, or things they did to get a quieter ridei have some insulation foam i was gonna put inside the door panels, but this seems a lot nicer, and more like dynamat

LHD interior questions

So i have a JDM 180sx.. my dash has a crack in it. Finding a new LHD dash is kinda hard. So i was thinking of cutting out the bad areas and using Goop to fill the cracks ( bcuz it's become almost solid, resist heat, and stays somewhat flexible ). and to finish it off paint it with some Duplicolor vinyl/fabric paint. i've seen alot of advertisement about this paint on Speed channel. i was also thinking of doing the same thing to my complete interior. since it works on carpet, seats..bascily everyting.so i'm am asking the interior gods of Nico to give me a helping hand, to find out if i should go down this road.anyone with experience with this process please comment

DIY: How to enter your 240sx

Est Time: 1min-12 hoursSkill Required: 5/5 starsAre you confused on how to get into your 240sx Do you need some help this thread is for you! There are a few steps you should do before entering your 240sx.Step 1: Make sure you are wearing some type of clothing before exiting your house.Step 2: You must first locate your 240sx.To locate your 240sx, simply look for your car. I found mine!Step 3: You must locate your key specifically designed for YOUR 240sx.Step 4: Use this key to open the door lock of your 240sx. To do this, simply insert the ket into the door lock and twist!Step 5: You may now remove the key from the lock, and open the door handle with which ever hand (or body part) you choose.Step 6:You can now sit inside your 240sx. Step 7: If you would like to start the engine of your 240sx, please continue to step 8Step 8: To start the engine of your 240sx, you must insert the key specifically designed for YOUR 240sx, into the ignition.Key:Key in Ignition:Step 9: You now must turn the key foreword until the engine starts. Note!: some 240sx's will start without having to push in the clutch pedal (if you have one). To push the clutch pedal, simply use your left foot, and step on the clutch pedal, while stepping on the brake pedal with your right foot. This may seem complicated, but dont worry, a few practice trys, and you'll eventually figure it out. Here is a picture for reference.Step 10: To shut off your 240sx, simply turn the key backwards, and the engine should shut off. If you engine does not shut off, you might have the following problems.1. your ignition is bad2. you did not turn the key yet3. you may have a turbo timer, in which keeps the car running after the key is removed4. the nissan gods love the sound of what ever engine your are running.Step 11: take some funny pictures in your 240sxTHIS IS A SERIOUS DIY!!! DO NOT DELETE!

Re-vamping of my interior - Part 1

Hey guys,I decided in the winter of our discontent, i would do some interior work while i had the chance. I have been putting it off for some time, and since im broke and cant really accomplish other tasks i would like to do to the car, i decided to work on the interior. I have started with re-clothing the door panels and glove box which need it badly! i decided to go with a diamond fabric - chocolate and irish green. Which is a really goofy odd choice for a red car, but i had a hunch it would look nice with a black interior and so forth. So i order fabric and got down to doing it. heres some pics:here is the glove box after finishing it:Heres the glove box installed and passenger door panel finished. i have still yet to do the driver's side.:I know whatcha thinking, way too much contrast, but i can assure you it looks much better in person. The crappy camera im using with the flash makes it look 10x brighter then it really is and in real life its actually green and brown, much like golf socks lol. I like it alot, and its a bit out there and over the top but i am satisfied. I debating to do the shift boot in the same fabric or just order a new one from redlinegoods. I will also be replacing broken trim, and the dashlights with L.E.D.s and maybe seats soon! More pics will come as more projects unleash.

JDM Speedo Chime

I installed a JDM gauge cluster into my car whenever I did my motor swap (CA) a while back and noticed it had an annoying chime that comes on at about 60mph. The cluster was free to me and my old USDM did not work. Just wondering if anyone knows how to disengage that annoying bastardThanks

OEM S13 Seat Covers or Recovering them

I just finished getting the interior back to 100% functionality in my S13 but my front seats have seen much better days. All i can seem to come across is people swapping their seats out or using aftermarket covers. The couple threads there were spot on my subject, offered no answers.Im probably one of the only oddballs that LOVES the stock S13 seats and the fabric they come with. I was wondering if anyones ever come across anywhere that replicates OEM seat covers or if nissan even might sell OEM seat covers so i can re cover my seats and complete my interiorTHANKS!Phil
