1998 maxima ecu pinout

I am having trouble with my o2 sensors. the code says both senors before the cat are bad. Both are new. I have tested the fuse and the o2 sensor connectors I have 12 volts to that point. My next step was to check the wire from the connectors to the ecu, but i have no pinout for the ecu.

allright geniuses... I have a 2004 sentra 1.8s and I noticed it shakes at anything 70+mph, do you know what it could be?

so my cars been running really rich lately. smells god aweful with the windows or sunroof open. and it pops and crackles everytime i shift. most of the time when i downshift, it backfires so loud it even scares me..

is there any way i can lean it out a little without having to bring it into a shop?

my ignition coil is reading 1.3 ohms, fsm states it should be around .7ohms. thats almost double the resistance it should have. i was wondering if anyone would do me the favor of testing their coil, if your car is running in top shape and post up the results please.

fuel pump is at .9, fsm states around .5 ohms. but i think its close enough.

reason for this is im trying to track down a bogging problem i keep getting. spark plugs indicate that the engine is healthy and are burning the fuel like they should. if it was fuel i think it would cause hesitation and a little bucking.

I found a trunk lid with a spoiler on it in perfect condition in a junkyard... and the best part is.... IT EVEN MATCHES MY PAINT CODE!!!! I bought it for $175 and im gonna put it on my trunk and possibly get some new tail lights on there... Im gonna sell the trunk lid im taking off so watch for it if you need it (pain code: QN0)... Prolly for around $100 +ship with the inner tails in it... so watch for it in the classifieds prolly posted on moday... ill take pics and post as i do the trunk lid change and wiring for a new how to... WOOHOO!!!!

Well, I�ve been searching for the past two days on how to install my radar detector in my 06 M45. I can�t find a post anywhere. I�m wondering where to tap in, to get your power source? Is it the fuse box, and where is it, or do I tap into the overhead interior lights?

Figured a good way to introduce myself to the forum would be with some pictures of a project car in the works.

1991 240sx coupe (base model)
automatic
140,000 miles

Original car was left with a KA minus an exhaust cam. The previous owners had high ambitions for the car and didn't do much but pull the cam out and gather some 5speed swap parts.

At first glance, there was an obvious brake fluid leak onto the drivers side frame rail. Soon after, I decided to try and clean the car up to the best of my abilities. The engine/trans were removed, brakes scrapped, and interior trashed. I'll let the pictures do the talking in my next post. Feel free to let me know what you think.

and i have a 91 s13 could i use a 89 mafs or s14 mafs? or maybe even a altima or somethin?

2008 Coupe Wheel Sizes

OK, I may be loosing my mind. A few moths ago I was seriously thinking of buying an '08 Coupe. I want the mid level package (sunroof, leather, etc.). At that time, I believe that package only came with 16" wheels. The lowest, base package (with the cloth interior) came with 17" wheels. I figured I'd try and talk them into swapping wheels for me and giving me the 17". Well, I got busy with Mardi Gras and work and other such distractions and never did anything.

Fast forward to today. I was back at the dealer and every single Coupe there had 16" wheels (some cheasey steel w/caps and some aluminum). I mentioned what I remembered from a few months back and the sales guy looked at me like I was Gary Busse after a motorcylce accident!

Anyone know what the deals is with stock wheels. I want at least 17". Would prefer not to have to buy my own. Do any trim levels give you something bigger than 16"?

re-did wiring car wont start.

I re-did my wiring for rb to 240 chassie and i think everything is fine becasue i went off by 3 different guides.

problem is i'm getting no spark so no start, just cranks all day long once i held the key for 1 minute and nothing.

i check my fuel injectors and they all click/pulse, and spray fuel, but my spark plugs are NOT getting WET with fuel. ugh

i took my plugs out and coils and my CAS, i checked spark by turning the CAS by hand, i get no spark just one small click sound from the spark plugs and its not even a spark.

I"m not sure what the problem could be or maybe hell just risk wasteing more money on another set of spark plugs and hope it works, but maybe someone can tell me what the problem is before i waste money.

maybe this could be the problem,

i have 1 wire left on my ka chassie plug thats not wired to anything.

its black/yellow and a guide is telling me its a power to coils which doesn't really make any sense?

has anybody ever had to wire that wire in and will it help my problem?

Off the record I though I would ask my boys here on NICO

The wife's Dodge Nitro takes 89 octane and we fill up all the time at COSTCO which does not have the 89 go figure. Probley for reasons who know.

Can I mix 87 and 91 to make 89 with no issues or am I missing something??

Pain in the butt to do because I have to run the cards twice but worth saving a few bucks a fill up.

I went to a salvage yard today and found two rear view mirrors for my daughters car and a $10 Oem lip for it! yay....The BIG Find was a gas tank for my car. Mine is soooooo rusty and starts coughing at 1/4 tank because of sucking up rust to the tank filter. I had priced then new..Almost $300!!

So I found a white 93 in a yard I had not been to for ages. I noticed a few tanks in the backs of cars ..just lying there..and didn't find anything special. Then I saw one....still installed!...in the white car. I took off the screws and there was a big "whoosh" of air. Mine has NEVER done this when I took of the lid.This tank had a 1/4 tank of clear looking gas and..what's this...there was an actual glimmer in the bottom instead of muck!

The outside is fine ..no dents,bumps..The plastic shield was even still in place in front of it underneath the car. Here's what it looked like inside:

It cost me....$15!

Altima/S14 interchangeable mafs Part 2

Just a little info for anyone that might be intersted. Recently i have been in need of a maf for my 1995 240sx(ka24de) i am n/a so i couldnt use a 300zx with out some type of tunning or something of that nature so i went to the junk yard . there is no way i could find an s14 that had parts i could use (there was one an it was just a shell) so i figured an altima might have the same maf an sure enough a 1996 altima had one i put it on an my car is running good

Hello fellow members, there really isn't a section for this in the forum so I'll post it in the next closest. I have some GT-R posters form the auto show. I have a bunch more of a bunch other cars that I've collected form past auto shows, most are Porsche posters. I have some GT-R posters available for sale if anyone is interested. Clutch release system

Hey wonderin if anyone has a direct link or info with pics for installing the whole clutch release sysytem. My clutch isnt releasing all the way causing the car to drag and slip when pedal is fully released. (fingers are not all the way back out) new mc,slave,exedy oem clutch kit,new front cover assembly.

Final Fantasy--Test Drive Part 3

It was five years ago,the Ides of May,when I pulled into my midnight dirveway after the longest single day of travel yet.800 miles,a record for one day behind the wheel--Little Rock to Ocala,via Vicksburg and Chatanooga.My final mountains.
The end of the Test Drive.
Florida,even in the middle of the night was HUMID,warm,sticky.
The Z was filthy,coated with dust from Kansas and bearded with the bugs from ten states.It had 10,995 miles on it,and it was only a month old.

Three days and two thousand miles earlier,I was in the heart of the Rockies,battling 6-foot drifts and a wind from hell.
I was chased down,and caught by a blizzard of epic proportions and had to spend most of the cold,windy night in the Z,dancing with hypothermia.Now I was sweating as I unpacked my car in the Florida warmth.

After I left Yellowstone,I paid a visit to the Grand Tetons,my third National Park,then spent an afternoon in upscale,ski-haven Jackson Hole,where the entire downtown looks like a Western Movie set--covered wooden board sidewalks,rough-sawn wood architecture,even hitching posts for freakin' horses!!Even though it was off-season,it was crawling with touristas.

I drank lunch at a busy place named "The Million-Dollar Cowboy Bar".It's right on the Town Square (which is decorated with elk antler arches,hundreds of them) and has a facade copied from some old frontier outpost.Even on a slow Sunday it had live country music pouring from it's door.

When you walk in,you see that it's a huge dancehall,with several seperate bars.Each of the bartops has hundreds of old,antique silver dollars under lucite,and you sit on actual tooled leather saddles when you're barside.A velvet nude hangs over the bar and crossed rifles and trophy Elk decorate the walls.The Real West.
I wanted to hang out,but I had miles to cover,so I had a burger and a beer.Or two.

When I went into "The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar",it was a snappy crisp 25 degrees,with sun.When I came out,the temp was down to 18 and the sky was heavy with cloud pushed in by a cold North wind.I got out of town and ran South,fast.The storm was coming right down the road behind me as I flew through Wyoming at 7,000 feet,across a treeless plain.It didn't take me long to figure out that the damn thing was chasing me and that I was trying to outrun it...

It took nearly three hours to get me.
I had been doing 80 along a straight ribbon of road cutting through nothingness,no towns,nothing,watching the ominous rolling grayness fill my mirrors as the sun began to set.The closest town,Rock Springs,was still thirty miles down the road,and I was low on gas.
It began with rain,which soon turned to a hissy sleet.As the large and angry clouds swept over me,snow began to fall,in fat,wet flakes.The landscape,devoid of snow except in isolated pockets of drift,began to turn white.The little dashboard thingee began to blink,Japanese for "ICE".
The wipers couldn't keep up.The wind was whipping me around,making traction a joke.It was,according to another thingee,12 degrees...

Now the road was deep snow and I was the first car down it,blazing my own trail,sometimes sideways as I crunched through fresh blizzard.Whiteouts began,drifts were starting to cover the tarmac.
I was fearful.Jeez,I'm from FLORIDA!!!
Soon the Z is mushing through the deepening snow in third,it's low-hanging spoiler acting like a snowplow,filling the front grille with icy slush,when I finally saw the reddish light reflections of a closeby town (hell,the ONLY town)--Rock Springs--bounce off the boiling sky.

Trouble was,the closer I got the worse the roads got.The car handled horribly,slipping all over the road--but I already knew that.
I began to wonder if I'd have to leave the Z on the roadside,when I spotted a motel--with a bar attached.I pulled in,registered and parked the Z by the room.The lady at the desk said that this was going to go on all night.At least a foot was on the ground,and the biting,icy winds gave promise of more.

I staggered across the nasty open parking lot,went into the bar and ordered a beer--and the power went out.The place began to put candles on the tables when a cop came in and said that the town's power plant had been knocked out by the storm,and the bar would have to close.

Bartender gave a "Last Call",at 10 PM,and the place gave up a collective groan.They did sell me a 12-pack of Coor's,which I dutifully lugged through the snow and back to the room.

--You know those little electronic "keys" that the motels give you now?
--Did you know that they don't work when the power is out?
--Do you know how cold 12 degrees is,especially when you have to hang out in it?...well,it freezes Coor's.

I encamped in the Z.I had cold beer and a near-empty gas tank,and I began to contemplate my demise.Wind rocked the car,snow blotted out the dark motel.I was drifting over.
Once in a while,through the long night,I'd crank up the car and get warm,maybe thaw out another beer as I wondered just how long a Z could idle when the gauge sits on "E".I'd turn on the wipers and stare in amazement at the fresh inches they would move around.
My world had shrunk to an uncomfortable,frozen bucket seat and a 9-pack of crystallizing beer,and each time I'd have to go out and into that hellish environment and take a whiz,the snow would fall off the roof and go down my back.

The parking lot lights came on and shocked me awake at 4 AM.I had been asleep in the car for at least an hour with no heat and I could feel it.My 5-pack was totally frozen.I gave the motel water heaters time to come to a boil and I took a hot shower and slept 'til nine in a fetal position.

That morning,as I crossed the Continental Divide,the Z got stuck on an iced-over freeway as Wyoming delivered yet another blizzard.Then I went through another in Steamboat Springs and yet another one near Vail that actually shut down I-70.By evening I was out of mountain and parking my car in Downtown Denver,when,what was later described as a "freak" storm dropped six inches of snow on the town and killed the evening.
I was getting sick of snow..

Since I had to get back to work in three days,I decided to haul azz across the USA,so I left Denver at 6AM and rocketed across Kansas,winding up in Wichita.from there,I went to Little Rock,via Bartlesville,Oklahoma and Tulsa.

From Little Rock to Ocala,I stopped only in Vicksburg,to scope out some Civil War history.I got home at midnight and got up at 7 and went to work.
My co-workers were amazed by the number of miles showing on my new car.

The Z had passed every aspect of the most grueling Test Drive that I could dream up,and it surmounted all tasks --save for one--with flying colors.That's probably why I decided to keep it.

Got my Nav System! But Now I Have 1 Question

I won a stock navigation system on ebay the other day. $230 got me the screen/dash parts, the in-dash control unit, and even a map CD. However, it did not come with the radio. Is there an aftermarket stereo kit for cars with navigation? If not, has anyone found a good way to mount an aftermarket cd player in the dash under the navi controler?
