So I got a guitar about 3 years ago, but didn't play it much til about a year and a half ago... since then I spend a lot of time playing, in part because I never have enough money to work on my car... but anyway, my birthday is coming up and that means I'm getting money, normally I'd put it toward my car, but I want to upgrade my guitar amp... I have a Crate GFX-15 right now. It's a good amp for a beginner but I'd like to think I'm a bit better now, and a new amp would make it even more fun.

SO... what do you guys know about amps? I'm looking at spending $2-300 on this, so I figure 50-75 watts is within reach. Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

some advice I can give is go to a guitar shop and play on as many different amps you can. get one that sounds the best to you. also, see if you can bring your guitar in to play on em.

also, what kind of guitar do you have?

cool guitar.I played guitar for a while, then I switched over to bass guitar. I don't play it very much. every now and then I'll pick up one of my mom's guitars or my bass and just play around.

It's cheaper than working on my car, so it's a nice release when I'm too poor to work on/drive my other hobby...
