Ooops! Excellent detail shows front wheel is under load rating specification. Nice wheels though. How much do they weigh?

Wish my bumper caps looked as good.

Acck!! Rear tire is only a 90 load rating? Ye gods!

That profile shot in the desert is the conclusive confirmation that Infiniti got it right with the black B pillar moulding. Chrome would look so tacky and chopped-up with the tint.

Looks great Mark!

Do you plan on painting the calipers anytime soon? It's something I have to do on my Q too. Awesome looking wheels though!

We may have to do a photoshoot when I get down there! Maybe your Q would make mine look better :pface .

I do plan on painting the calipers some day. First I need to get my Z31 back on the road so I can take my time with them & have something else to drive. I would love to get together for a photoshoot & just to meet. When are you coming into town?

Sweet!!! I really like those wheels....they look much better on the car vs. just standing alone and love the "lip"

I had the ASA's AR1's from Tirerack and when they arrived last week I was disappointed as there was no staggered lip effect so I returned them. They 8" front and 9" rear....but the offset was 35 front and 45mm rear so that the offset killed the look of the staggered look and at $2,200 wheels & tires I want the staggered look. I returned them so now I am looking for a new set of wheels again.

What is the front & rear offsets?

Also....how is the handling difference and braking with the new wheels?

Are those the brakes/rotors from AzHitman (Greg's) package that he is selling?

All looks really good.

Don't remember the offset. Wheels were $740 shipped & tires were $750.

Calipers are stock & rotors were gotten off of Ebay. With the new tires (stickier than last set) & new ceramic brake pads the car stops easily & well. Handling is great with the new Eibachs & Tokicos!! Very sporty to drive. I will be taking it autocrossing (for laughs). It should be a blast!

Autocrossing????

http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....age=1

I can't wait to get my car out there on the autocross track again after being away for 4 years as the Q was just too heavy and slow without any mods. Now that I have all the speed mods done or will have done in the next day or two, I plan to take it to the track as well for some fun. I need to do the brakes and wheels and then that is about it that is available except that carbon fiber driveshaft keeps calling my name, but first I have got to get my car back from the header shop to see how it is running before I put another $1,400 into it.

Very nice car and nice pics as well. Enjoy the autocrossing.

I'll hopefully be in town by the end of July... still a while to go yet. I was originally planning on heading down there at the beginning of July... but three weeks at the dealership without having anything done to the car killed those plans. I'll make sure to get in touch with you before I head down there though :D . It'd be nice to see your Q in person.

I take it you live near Ernesto's? The place I'll be staying at isn't too far from there... right by Sahara.

Feel free to check out the stock blue Q next time you swing passed Ernesto's. It should be there for another week or two!

It'll hopefully be decked out with some nice rims/rubber and a system by the time I get down there :) .

Thanks. I love black leather & this interior is soooo clean. I shopped a long time to find silver with black leather. Finally got it with this one!

If you paint them...paint them BLACK!

good job on resizing them... my goodness... :)

we might have to go do a photoshoot of the family cars and whenever you get the blackhole (z31) up and running, maybe we can get some on-track pictures of you trying to catch up to Homer ;)

These are unsafe ratings for a heavy car like the Q (over 4000 lbs) - it is the dynamic load values under braking and acceleration that will give you problems. Your values are probably for "max psi" loading.

You need at least 95 rated tires (1521 lbs) or more (according to Q45Tech) if you do not use strong tires (like Michelins).

Otherwise, a very nice look!

Dude, looks awesome. I just painted my calipers, I did them in gloss black (I don't want bright red sticking out under my wheels, unless they're real Brembos), and it came out super clean. It was so easy to do, 3rd car I've done it on. I love black interiors too, that was my first choice, but I didn't hold out till I got it, I just settled with tan because it was so immaculate. I love your car, good job.

Oh re: the load index on the tires, Kumho 712's have stiff sidewalls and if you keep the pressure near the max, you should be OK, just watch out for potholes!!!

Let's see if my math is working.

His car, with him in it, probably 4400lbs at WORST.

front tyres have a load rating of 1,433 lbs each rear tyres are 1,323 lbs each.

1433x2 = 2866lbs for the front axle1323x2 = 2646lbs for the rear axle.

total load rating of 5512lbs.

5512lbs > 4400lbs.

the car is probably front heavy, hence the higher rating for the front axle. Let's assume the car has a 60/40 weight distribution.60% of 4400lbs is 2640lbs40% of 4400lbs is 1760lbs

As we established, the front load rating of the tyres still have close to 200lbs of room...with the rear nearly a 1000lbs. Obviously, the weight over each axle will differ based on the actual weight distro.

You brought up an interesting point of braking. Under normal braking, maybe 10-50lbs is moving. Under hard braking, potentially a few hundred pounds.

Problem is, these tyres won't be genetrating god awful amounts of braking G forces, where they would exceed the load ratings of the tyres to become an issue...

Now, if he ever trailers anything with it, he might have a problem.
