stanza transmission

ok i am in the middle of my sr swap right now, and my boy wants to sell his 90 stanza for 200. needing a new beater i bought it. The only problem with the car is the transmission. reverse is gone and u cant acclerate at 35is mph. tach just keeps winding up.

How hard is it to change a auto transmission. all i have evr done are manual trannys. They have autos at the junk yard for 400. or should i just take it to a transmission shop.

i would chnage it to manual but im proboly gona let my gurl use it too

you can do it, not alot of difference in the swap except your need to remove the torq convertor bolts before you pull the trans out. you can access them from the bottom on the oil pan side. there should be an axcess hole there. Also you have to undue the trans cooler lines from the transmission which the manual trans doesnt have.
