My S13 was a non-ABS auto and I was told that driveshaft wouldn't work so I went out and bought a non-ABS manual driveshaft from a junkyard. The manual driveshaft fitted perfectly. All I had to do was trim a little off the dustshield on the back of the RB transmission to get it to slide in far enough. I didn't ever try the auto driveshaft since the junkyard doesn't take returns anyway, but just from looking I don't think it'd fight. The length is a bit different than the manual.

The auto is about 1 inch too long. Anyway if you need to get a manual drive shaft, get the enjuku aluminum one piece driveshaft. It works great.

N O you won't... McAdam just finished a swap for Spec-V and they used the stock KA manual shaft and he says it fit perfectly

As long as the shop is throwing in a manual driveshaft with the 5 speed swap, which I think they have to for it to work, you'll be fine.

the auto's yoke is different the splines don't line up.

and a 5 speed shaft is needed yes. but a stock manual shaft will work great. if you use UH mounts then the dust sheild will work too.

DO YOU HAVE THE RB20 DRIVESHAFT? IF SO I THINK IT SHOULD WORK. I WAS THE SAME LENGTH AS MY ENJUKU SHAFT.

Hmm I just put my RB20 driveshaft next to an S13 manual driveshaft and the RB20 driveshaft was 5.5 inches longer than the 240 one...I don't see how it could possibly work unless the driveshaft somehow goes into the transmission 5.5 inches more than the 240 one does.

I have not actually tried it though to be sure

thats interesting, I haven't done the swap so I don't know about that... all I know for certain is that McAdam did this swap less than a week ago and used the stock KA manual shaft and it worked perfectly

Yeah if you wanna be safe just find a used S13 manual shaft. Many of us know for sure it works.

well the rb20 shaft was the same as my enjuku shaft so umm I kinda figured it would work but I could be wrong. Your best bet is to get a manual drive shaft cause it is proven to work. the rb20 might be an auto shaft, i'm not sure because it wasn't actually installed on the car and venus said they had an auto rb20.
