I have never driven a CA. I hear they rev beautifully though. I love my Redtop though and she is fast as stink (by my standards). I think the only people that can answer this question are those that have experienced both.

Jon- I let you drive mine if you let me drive yours

My SR with a lightened flywheel I still feel that she really doesn't want to rev. I think it's more a t2small issue than a SR issue. Time for a turbo upgrade ;)

Edti: I've got family in indy so next time I go up I will drop you a line and maybe we can have some JDM engine fun:blue

Any engine is easy to maintain if you know what you are doing. I do all the work on my car and some is trial and error and some things are cut and dry. It really depends on your tools and room to work in the engine bay.

If you do your own swap then you will know what to look for in general. I paid someone to help me swap my SR. Since it is a daily driver I couldn't afford massive downtime. Had a great time doing it and it took three days;) I learned so much that weekend and it has continued to pay off.

Sr = Aluminum BlockCa = Cast Iron Block

you can do what most peole do and make you own guess to which is better. But keep in mind the CA's Cast Iron block is cast with a very flimsy iron.

The castiron/aluminum block thing really isnt that big of a deal to me. If you have your motor properly tuned Aluminum will hold together just fine... Course, you can always put int Castiron sleeves and not tell anyone. =-)

I have my 240 registered in Ohio (where I used to live) so I don't have to deal with inspections in Virginia. Eventually i will register it here in VA and I have a hookup lined up already.

The SR will pass emissions and I still have all of my emissions hooked up. As long as the guy isn't too hot on Nissan engines he won't know the difference during the inspection. As for living in Cali. good luck with that. Those refs don't mess around and know there stuff. Also with all the popularity that the SR has gotten it will be a red flag along with all the Honda JDM swaps.
