door panel removal

Hey i got new speakers for my front doors and i went to take off the door panel to install them but cant get it completely off. i popped off all the clips along the bottom, the one screw under that botton up towards the front of the car and the screw in the little handle thing. its competely lose but when you go to pull it off near the power window controls its attatched somewhere in there, and i think the door handle too. I didnt want to just pull too hard and break anything so does anyone know what else id have to do to get it off?

okay, I don't remember seeing this in your article, and I have been doing homework for hours now...but did you undo the screw in the piece that holds the trim around the door latch?

yeah i have problems with that sometimes as well. There is a metal bracket that holds your black door handle in place. If you can reach under and unplug the wires from the power window controls that will help. Just wiggle and pull straight up. If that doesn't work, it is possible to take the door handle out before you take the door panel off.

i didnt see a screw near the door latch anywhere, there was only one screw in the little pocket thing where you have to pop off this little cover and another up near the front of the door(closest to the front of the car) under like a little buttom thing.

OK in a s13 , the door panel is held on like this , a screw that is abour midway up and on the isder closer to the front of the car, then undo the screw for the window controls and remover them , and lastly take out the plastic peice that is behind the door handle.

the plastic piece that goes around that actual latch you use to open the door must come off, allso on the passenger side you must take out the one scre holding the door pull on-

thanks for the replys i got the door panel off today and i got 6x9's to fit in the door's, i put them there cause my freind gave them to me for free and my stock speakers were blown. sounds pretty good though even though im not even into any audio stuff at all atleast i can listen to music now. now can get ready for lsd.
