I heard EoTechs had trouble with the batteries because they are in-line with the recoil they rattle back and forth causing failures.

I'm a fan of the Trijicon Relflexand ACOG sights though. But they're even more expensive....I'd probably be putting them on a rifle a few hundred bucks cheaper.

I have a red dot on my Sig, it's neat, but I still like iron sights. A guy at the range asked me how I could aim "without a sight." "Look through the metal thingies man." I replied rolling my eyes.

when I get around to building a rifle, it's definitely gonna have some iron backups on it.

4X magnification on a good battle rifle is nice though. especially with a fast acquiring set up. gotta have backup sights though!
