Is anyone using this brand clutch? I purchased a XTD 6 puck srung clutch and it's slipping like crazy. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem or if this was just a cheap clutch. I'm boosting 16lbs and it's slipping in 2nd, 3rd, & 4th and doesn't even have 1000 miles on it. It seamed fine for 10-12lbs of boost but once I started boosting more it just couldn't hold. What clutch do you guys recommend? ACT? SPEC?

I am running an xtd stage 2 at 9lbs of boost. I let it break in for 500miles and after that it would slip in first and second. That is until I brought it to the track. It slipped my first 4 runs but my last 5 it would hook up great wheel hop and all. Haven't had a problem since guess you just need to beat it into its place.

isnt that an ebay clutch.???

i just got an ACT 6 puck unsprung clutch with light weight fly wheel yesterday. but the break in period is 500 miles.

did you do the break in period.

if it is the clutch of ebay, then that is your problem. you get what you pay for.

i think its a hit-n-miss thing. some ppl say they grab like a mofo and some say they slip like a b*tch.

I installed an XTD Stage 2 clutch when I performed the 5 speed conversion on my KA.

I used the clutch for 10,000 miles without any problems [although I had at one point believed my clutch was slipping, turned out to be bald tires].

XTD is very hit and miss if you haven't gathered that already.

on my KA i broke in my xtd stage 3 for 499 miles. on the 500th i started drifting and beat on it for ever a year straight. Engine blew before any kind of issues with the clutch occurred. I have people fighting over the old transmission so they can steal that clutch lol.

Dont go with a XTD clutch!! They r junk. I ran one in my sr for a short while and it just slipped and slipped!!! AFter I got tired of that F**KING garbage I went with ACT heavy duty clutch and light weight flywheel. Trust me, If you like your car and want the most out of her, going cheap is not the way to go. Get the ACT and thank me later

I've driven a setup with the ACT Heavy Duty and it's definitely kickass!

^ i am actually worried about it grabbing to much. because when it grabs. it will be instant. becasue i have and unsprung 6 puck clutch. and i guess it chatters some. people think you cant drive. but when you get out o nthe road is when the performance side takes over. becasue it is operating in its ZONE

I'm a XTD supporter, I've had 2 stage 3's on my sr. And both have bit like a b*tch and never slipped. But they are either in or out which isn't my favorite so I'm probably going to get something else next time.

I got an ACT unsprung 6 puck on stock flywheel. never broke my in. I launch it like 2 mins later I got it running. Pedal is very hard but it gets easier after a day or two of driving. I got 4k miles on it now and its still holding
