rb25det sII into an 96 s14

Alright, so with the wipers, do i rewire the ka wiper plug to the rb harness? if so, the colors don't match up correct? also do i need to rewire the rb wiper amp plug to fit the usdm wiper amp? Any body know the wiper color matchups?

and finally, does any of this wiring have to be made to the F3 plug as well?

I have it all in the RB25 into S14 swap guide that used to be on racebread. Damn that site is getting a lot of reference now that it is down.

eh? is setting up another RB related site and it will have the file. Until then, I'll try to help the best I can.

If you have the RB amp and amp plug, you can do all of the wiring at the F3 plug. I was a dumba$$ and lost my R33 amp, so I had to cut off the S14 amp and plug and rewire it into the RB harness.

This is assuming you cut the KA M63 plug off and spliced onto the RB harness so the second wire color is that of the KA. Either way, you need to relocate the following pins on the RB side of the plug so they match up with the pin # on the dash side. Get it? Good. Here we go.

At the F3/M63 plug on the RB HARNESS; Pin #1 (L/Y) moves to pin #27 (L/Y). (Intermittant switch)Pin #3 goes to ground. (Ground)Pin #5 (LG/R) moves to pin #7 (LG/R). (Low)Pin #6 (BR/W) moves to Pin #8 (BR). (Ground)Pin #9 (PU) moves to Pin #42 (PU). (Intermittant variable)Pin #10 (BR) moves to Pin #4 (P). (Wash pump)Pin #13 (LG/B) moves to Pin #6 (BLG/B). (High)Pin #15 (L/R) moves to Pin #5 (LG). (Ignition power)

I had already cut off the ka wiper amp and motor plugs and cut off the RB plugs off the r33 harness.

so are those schematics for just repinning? do i need to rewire the stock RB plugs back on the rb harness?

So basically this would be included for the main wiring of the harnes (the f3 plug), and i wouldn't touch the wiper amp and wiper motor plugs on the RB harness correct?

My image must have been too big because that's the e-mail address I used. I'll try to get it into a smaller format and then resend it.

Darius:

Have you ever had an RB harness in which the F3 plug wiring did not match you schematics? My f3 on the rb harness doesnt even have a Pin 1 wire, and other things don't match up to your schematic.

It is a series II harness...

Ok, you need to track down the wires for the wipers in the RB harness where you cut off the plug to the RB wiper amp. Then, you have two options: 1) repin the F3 plug or 2) cut the RB F3 plug off and replace it with the KA and do your rewiring in the process.

You need a multi-meter with continuity testing ability which 99% of them have. Then, go to where you cut the RB wiper amp plug off of the harness. Place one probe on that wire and then poke around on the F3 plug until you find the other end of the wire. It will most likely be the same color so check those first to save time. Repeat until you know the pin locations of all the wiper-related wires. Compare to my guide and then describe where there are differences. Sounds like your #1 pin on the RB plug is somewhere else. You just need to find it.

Also, eh? has posted the RB25 engine harness diagram on his forum. This is the holy grail of wiring the RB. Save it to your computer. The wiper amp plug is the 8-pin plug with 7 wires on the top middle of the diagram.http://www.rbforums.org/pics/P...m.gif

Thanks man, so i should probably just resolder the stock RB amp and wiper plug back on to the harness, matching all the colors and wire the f3 plug correctly right?

I dont know why but alot of my colored wires don't match... Knd of unusual
