Just to let you know, I'm finally getting my windows tinted this friday. My friend refered & scheduled an appointment for me and got ten dollars discount. He got his windows done at 20% all around on his 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS today.

My final price including taxes will be $210 dollars for the two front windows, two back windows and the rear windshield.

The percent of the tint is going to be 27% all around with lifetime warranty. The type of tint is net, which I'm not sure what that means.

Overall, he said they did a good job and I can't wait for mine to be complete!

What are your tint laws in the states you live in, and how was your experience?

Don't forget that the two back windows are actually four back windows. Hopefully the tinting place took that into account. Plus they should do the two ports up front. Mine cost $285 for everything. I got 35% all around although having the front windows tinted is not allowed in BC. 35% does not interfere with visibility at all, even on dark nights.

The darkest tint allowed on all the windows in the state of Colorado is 27%. I didn't want anything dark because of cops/police and the chances of getting pulled over are greater. I have to remember to mention that to them on Friday about the two ports near the front. I'm not sure if it's illegal in CO or not. I'm positive it isn't though.

Wow, y'alls are expensive. I got mine done 35% all around with Llamar tint. It included the "visor" on the front windshield and the guy came out to my work and did it for $180.

in orlando its $120 for the same service, including life warranty.... and i thought it was expensive ha ha..... wow.... im not sure, i think here in fl the law says that the front windows most be 20% or higher and the rear windows cant be less that 5% something like that. i havent got mine yet cuz im too cheap to pay $120 for that... but after hearing ur prices i think imma go for it.... lol... its not a one-store-price, everyone charges around that price here...

Those percentages sound about right. 35% is just dark/light enough not to attract too much attention from the cops from what I've found.

Yea, $120 is definitely not bad. I would just double check that they know about the portholes on the front sides. I was originally quoted over the phone $160 but when the guy got out there it went up to $180 because of those. I was fine with it because he had never done nor seen a Versa before.

I remember tint costing $25 / window.. When I bought my V I asked them to throw in free tint on all the windows and they did... They didn't tint the little ports up front...

Whatever, it was free..

I got mine for about $200 + taxes and that was WITH a dealer's discount. Otherwise, it would have cost something like $230 + taxes. Everything is more expensive in Canada, damn and I thought I was getting a good deal.

bump

I wanted to make a correction. The tint I got was 27% all around, not 35% and it turned out great. Can't open the windows for 3-5 days.

I am about 1 week away from getting my white 2009 versa hatch 1.8SL and I think the tint would look good with the white car. I was wondering if some of you could post pics of your cars with the tinted windows so I can get some sort of idea of the look.

Has anyone tinted their windows - but not the front windows? Could you post pics to see what it looks like with only the back windows tinted?

Sorry, I haven't had much time to do anything with work and school getting in the way. Whenever I have freetime, it gets dark early and I'm not able to take a decent picture without light. Wednesday during my lunch break from school, I will go to a local park and take some shots of my car with the tint. Hopefully, this will give some of you an idea.

Wow, I paid 20 dollars and got a custom cut tint kit off ebay and just did it myself. Great in theory.... but tinting is very frustrating especially when you've never done it before. The windows all look okay except the rear which i regrettably did not try to heat up to form to the concave. So theres a bunch of creases on my rear window. I only paid 20 so whatever. And for anyone who didn't get the little windows tinted... search on ebay. If you email the guy who makes the custom kits he can send you any window piece you need for a reduced price. Only come in 5%, 15%, 20% and 35%.

Those tiny windows in the front are a pain to do. My car came tinted when I bought it, but the front brow cost me $70 alone

As long as you did not get that cheap crap that turns purple after 2 years.
