Does any one know what the overall width of a TT motor is and or what the distance between the motor mounts are? I am looking to put this motor in a 1990 240SX, just don't want to cut the shock towers. any help would be appreciated.

I've seen pics somewhere on here of a VG30DETT that someone is swapping into their 240. It's definitely narrow enough to clear the shock towers.

I actually measured the distance shock tower to shock tower in a Z32 and an S13. the S13 is wider by about 3 to 4 inched up top and a lot wider down low, near the cross member. The Z32 uses a double A arm front suspension that takes up a lot of engine bay room and makes things apain to work on. I wanted to do this swap to, except use a VG30DET out of a nissan CIMA. single turbo and a lower intake plenum, should clear the hood of a 240sx just fine....

Thanks for the information, I will hopefully be doing the swap on my 1990 S13 this winter now that I know it will fit.
