Don't know if anyone else is getting spammed but for some reason or another every time I come to the boards from another site or just from my home page (yahoo.com) I keep getting pop ups for taking a visitor survey or because I live in PA I get a free necklace. I did the survey when I first logged on this morning because I actually thought it was legit as I've never been spammed on here before, and now it's haunting me every time I come onto NICO. Someone please fix.

Me either. I have a feeling its coming from somewhere else. Perhaps you have some underlying spyware popup infection. What browser are you using?

Mozilla Firefox, and I'm using FireNICO. Seriously though, I turned on the computer, open my internetz, and came straight to NICO from my my.yahoo homepage. As soon as I got to my watched list a survey popped up that said Thank you for visiting NICOClub.com and asked me like 4 or 5 questions. I did the survey and it said as a thinks I could choose a free gift.

Why do people always assume it's NICO spamming you?

I always ask myself these types of questions.

Quick story/rant:I fix computers for a school. Teachers will come to me and tell me, "I tried going to this website and it says it's down for maintenance. Every other website I go to works fine. But not that one. Can you fix it?"

My response...Ummm... This might come as a shocker to you but, I don't manage every single website in the world.

I never assumed NICO was spamming me, I said I was being spammed on NICO, totally different.

I do believe I may have some sort of malware issue, please disreguard my OP, sorry for wasting everyone's time.

Aww, beat me to the p0rn joke too. It sounds like you picked up a bug somewhere along the line. Unfortunately it's difficult to track down from where you got it.

I keep getting an error saying that a script f***ed up on this site. Then it proceeds to freeze every application on my computer, then crashes the browser.

That sounds like the last version of Firefox, very unstable. Upgrade to the new one, it's a little different. (no crashes and some options are changed)

Maybe you need a Java update or your flash version is corrupt...
