95 hardbody, 5 speed trans, 4x4, 4cylinder.

When I depress my clutch pedal I get a fairly loud whining noise. Even when the clutch is not pushed in there is some noise, but when I push it in its loudeenough that I hear it quite well while Im driving.

I just had the trans rebuilt and put a new clutch in as well.

P.s. I was wondering how I could check to see if the hydraulic clutch actuater was still good (the part attached to the side of the trans that goes in and out when I push the clutch pedal). The reason I ask is that when I was bleeding the clutch and my wife pushed the pedal down, after I cracked the bleeder valve and shut it again the pedal and actuater would not pop back out w/out me manually doing it with my hand.

Any help would be appreciated.

Might be a bearing inside the tranny. I'd take the tranny back to the people who rebuilt it.
